But for real, I'm split between the two parties here. I like the quality posts from you all. The mods here do a great job keeping the train going even if it means giving us a kick in the pants from time to time.

Do we like what they say all the time? No.

But should we respect what they say? Yes.

It's like an old ball coach. He's mean and you think you don't like him until you take the time to realize that he's made everything better through what he's done.

Holy vajayjay, this thread got funny.

Personally, I feel like I am playing in JPham's and his staff's house, and I should attempt to play by their rules. Of course I bend them maybe once or twice, but I have actually sent private messages to mods telling them to edit me whenever they feel any of my posts are out of line. I trust their judgement. So far, they have eliminated 564 of my posts, but who's counting?

There was a thread titled "NeuteredDoomer" or something like that. Had about 30.000 hits. It got eliminated somehow. I didn't care. I did not start the thread. It was started by my good friend TMQ10 when we were PMing about music one night and my box became full. I was not aware of "full boxes" yet, so he started a thread to catch my attention. Many kept that thread going just to goof around...

Anywho, the mods are super. Give or take...I.E. is about my only addiction. Well, if you eliminate pretty ladies, alcohol, and snuff, (and an occasional cigarette...) but I digress...

NDinL.A. is actually one of the reasons I signed up to this site, and I started using the comp for unenviable reasons (health fell apart, but I was still able to poop on SirDishands lawn).t There was a cool mod back then, SoCaldomer or something like that. He seems to be long gone. Then apparently BGIF re-emerged. He was not posting when I first started.

Anywhat, I.E. has been a fun ride. Poosies.

The last thing that I will say on this matter is that I don't really have a problem with the rules. It's the application of them that I occasionally find objectionable. Aaaaaaand I'm done.

Funny sidenote regarding "sweep" vs. "sleep:" When a live video of Coldplay singing "Viva La Vida" came out, the messages posted under the video were a discussion on whether lead singer said "I used to sweep alone" or "I used to sleep alone." Do a youtube search on Coldplay live at BBC. I haven't seen it in a while, but the discussion was good for a grin...

Just busting your ba - errrrrr, I mean, just busting your chops. amgarvey and I hashed it out in PM, and it's all good.

Also, I messed up when talking about the history of the site. That was the history of when I joined the site, not the entire history, and I should have been more specific. BGIF told me a couple of years ago the entire history of the site through email, and mods like GoshenGippen and Acamp (among others) had this site really thriving. I caught the tail end of that 'era' and that's what brought me to this site, and I loved it. Many events (including the tragic passing of Goshen) caused the site to falter over time to the point where it was almost a graveyard, and that's when the 'history' of the site that I was talking about started. My apologies for not making that clear when I first posted.

Dude, all you really have to do is PM is jpham and complain about the language filter. Then complain to him about me doing my 'job'. And incidentally, I didn't delete political views that I disagreed with, I didn't delete religious views I disagreed with, I didn't delete football views I disagreed with. I deleted a one-word post that some people on tis site find offensive (personally I don't, but I understand why some people do), that really, wasn't a big deal. But now I'm a 'bully' LOL. Whatever. In the grand scheme of things, this means jack squat and I'm glad I have a 'go with the flow' attitude toward life.

My comments had nothing to do with the actual deletion. It was pertaining to the "gtfo out if you don't like it" attitude I got after my comment. As I said before, 99% of my questionable comments are in jest. I wasn't trying to attack you, but rather razz you. If you would have told me to "go **** youself", I probably would have repped you. I disagree with a mod chumming with us one second and the next telling me to take a hike. That is the part I am referring to when I talk about "bullying". I appreciate the work you do moderating, but I'm going to voice my opinion if you say something like that to me or anyone else. Either way, its a dead subject for me. You're still my boy, blue.

but in all seriousness, bgif neg repping me was lame as hell.

I am disappointed that Shaq left ND. I thought he was the heir apparent to Floyd when he signed, but it didn't happened. There are a lot of factors that can lead to a person transferring and they all make sense at the time. However bashing ND is just classless and it's a shame. While I am admittedly one of the Heat haters I thought Toma's comments were classic.

I am on vacation so haven't checked IE too much & I logged on and saw a Shaq Evans tweet had almost 140 replies I though he was coming back to ND or something like that..

but, alas, nope. His tweets were very rude though. Not ND material. Good riddance Shaq, thanks for nothing.

A little history lesson son: Before jpham took over, and assigned BGIF, myself, HTCI, Polish, etc as moderators, this place was dead. DEAD. There were no mods that gave a rip, and the site turned to crap. It got to the point where dudes would just call other members 'fags' and completely rip recruits to shreds, recruits threads would dissolve into beer or food topics, among many other things, and everything was honky-dory. At a time like this, there would MAYBE be 30 people on the site. Goldhelmet and DomerDomain was killing this site, and rightly so. Way more members, way better topics, way better threads.

In stepped jpham and BGIF, who essentially saved the site. Right now there are 340 people on this site (in the offseason when NOTHING is going on). There are 118 people on domerdomain, and 34 people on goldhelmet. I'm not great at math but that's a pretty big jump. So yes, people (the majority, not all) enjoy the way the site is run now. It's overwhelmingly positive, but it's not for everyone. Throwing the word 'pussy' (again - I'm not offended, but many are) around is not something the admin is going to budge on, so I showed Wooly some other sites that might be good with that. There was no maliciousness on my part, but of course he overreacted.

Complain all you want. That's fine. Why not first do it in a PM? Then if you don't get your way, bring it to the board. And then just leave if you don't like it. For the life of me, I'll never understand why people go anywhere that they hate or even disagree with the rules. There's tons of sites out there, or if anything, go fly a kite or play checkers or read a book with your wife or something. But getting bent out of shape and calling people out (instead of a simple PM) over a simple thing on a friggin' website? Sorry, I just don't get that.
