LOL... leave it to, "So glad we got Johnny Manziel!" guy to think that a bunch of drunk idiots jumping up and down is one of the coolest traditions in all of sports.

;)

Jump Around is cool only because traditions are cool. When ranked against other college football traditions, it can't possible be in the top 100.

I'm not sure it even beats Wisconsin's other student tradition of stumbling in drunk mid-2nd quarter and not remembering the second half.

I feel like Jump Around is something that is only cool if you are a part of it. Don't get me wrong, it's nice seeing the fact that a student body (and other fans I'm sure) are having fun and are pumped. But overall, it seems like something you need to do to appreciate in any real level.

it's just so corny and unoriginal. is Sandstorm gonna be considered a tradition too in future years?? C'mon..

Jump Around? Soft. Bigly lacking in energy.

Doesn't ND open a season at VT on Memorial day at some point in the near future?

I'd love to go to ND@VT to experience "Enter Sandman" in person.

EDIT: that's not until 2036, and football will be extinct by then. Nvm.

"Stick It In" was pretty cool... think they got rid of it tho.

Maybe Labor Day, but I hope not Memorial Day

I bet they tell everyone they're from Chicago too.

Off topic, but a buddy of mine in college was from Chicago, literally South Side. He would get super mad at people when they would say they are from Chicago, only to be from a northern suburb far out of the city. They'd talk/brag about Chicago and how much they love it, it's "their city" and so on. He'd rip them a new one any chance he could.

And now back to your regular scheduled topic...

People who are really from Chicago will toss out the closest major intersection they live/lived by.

"You're from Chicago? Me too! 47th and Western."

The people from the suburbs will just look at you with a blank stare.

I grew up on the corner of Superior and Oakley, but always told people Chicago and Western.

You are old.

Was that Ukrainian Village or did that end at Chicago? Superior's just south right?

...and what's up with being a Sox fan? You were miles north of Madison.

Yup, Ukrainian Village.
The neighborhood ran south until about Grand and east until Damon.

My father is a Ukrainian immigrant and my mother was 100% Chicago Irish.

*edit
My father used to get free tickets for the Sox so he'd take me to a dozen games or so a year.
I became a fan.

What about a 1-off Shamrock series vs Utah in the new Raiders Stadium?

Or would be against UW be better?

somehow Navy and Vegas isn't clicking for me. Do they at least have a lake or river there?

Any water that doesn't come in a bottle?

Someone's never seen Pamela & Tommy's Excellent Adventure

Lake mead and the Colorado river.

But navy has a sub in this lake for training purposes.

I would be there. Make it the last game of the season so ND can deal with suspensions and violation of team rules after the season and before the bowl game.

How about a ND vs Tulane match up in NO? Or Rice in Houston? Two hotbed recruiting areas that would be nice for us to have a presence every now and then.
