Gonna be here with one of my Navy buddies who went to Duke. Gonna have to check out the Gameday spot in Durham.

They combined three for 38, actually. Most of the yardage came on one 25-yarder to Tyree that I think was a short pass and run.
We only completed 17 passes, with Evans catching seven of them. Attempted 25. I’m not sure how much of that is the WRs and how much was the game plan. But all season I have been surprised we haven’t pushed it downfield more.
Bear in mind we ran two RB and 2-3 TE sets most of the night vs OSU.
Game plan designed toRTDB and win TOPosssion.
Game plan vs Duke? Not sure. But our RBs are better than our WRs

Irish player leadership steps up big time this week. Have all the confidence in the world in the defense and the offensive line.

What’s worrisome for this one is Hartman is due a rough game and we know elko can coach. But I think our defense leads the way.
Why is he due for a rough game?

My only concern is how quickly will the players put the OSU game behind them?

Hartman threw for 347 yards 3 TD's and 1 INT last year against Duke he was 26/42 might be one of those games where they need to let Hartman sling it but I also thing two RB sets will work too

Heading to sleepy Wallace Wade after a demoralizing loss is the perfect concoction for a letdown or a going-through-the motions game. That said, College Game day heading to Duke is a Godsend. That should help garner their attention and help them focus and prepare.

Great setting for a night game. Walked around Duke last summer, place is beautiful. This ND team is different. We win by 3 TDs this week. I have a feeling our OL guys will be pissed and looking to knock Duke around worse than they did OSU. I like Elko, but reality check time in Durham.
I was recently in Cary for work. While there, I got to visit both Durham and Chapel Hill. I loved Chapel Hill. Reminded me a little of Oxford, MS. Durham is largely a dump, but the campus and the Duke gardens are incredible. I loved the Collegiate Gothic architecture and their reading room.

The more possessions, the more likely the better team wins. We definitely need to be more aggressive vs duke offensively.

How’s their line and line backer play? I’ve gotta think a healthy dose of Estime, Love, and Price will get the job done.

if your goal is to shorten the game then yes that will work and we can slowly pull away best case. IF we want to dominate, need to run the ball of course but play action a bit for big gains in the pass game as well.

Duke is a well coached team, their D isn't anything special, but they don't beat themselves. Their offense is built around Riley Leonard and their run game. They PA off it well but their WRs aren't overly dynamic. They have good RBs, solid OL, a pretty darn good TE, and Riley Leonard who is a very good QB.

ND will be in nickel all game like normal and force Duke to run the ball against our front 6. The do a better job running than NC state, but their D IMO isn't as aggressive as NC state. Contain their run game, especially riley running is the key. They will challenge our discipline and fits, like the long ohio state TD where we gave up the edge very easy. That can't happen.

They gave up over 6 yards a carry to Clemson. Then they beat Northwestern and Lafayette.

ND has an OL that has improved on run blocking since the start of the season and they have the best running back in college football.

JaMion Franklin is their starting Nose Tackle. This will give the scribes an easy back story.
Regarding the actual game am I correct to remember that Franklin wasn't any good?

He suffered a severe leg injury and ND never really got the chance to find out.

he was always injured at ND. He's a big body, but slow. They have solid DEs, but not the interior quickness that has hurt us

Clemson had 50 yards more total offense and about 6 minutes more of possession time against Duke but Clemson time and time again couldn’t get out of their own way. ND will be a much more formidable opponent than they have faced this season.

i think parking is free, a bit of a walk. Chemistry parking lot if you get there early isn't too bad of a walk.

Chapel Hill takes the cake. I was there for the 2008 ND game. Other than being the only ND game I’ve attended in person that resulted in a loss, it was a great time. I loved the row of restaurants/bars w/in walking distance of the campus. Jordan had a nice bar-restaurant called Top of the Hill. Not sure if it’s still there. Stadium is small but in a good way.

I’m in Oxford today. Awesome college town. The Grove is a must see. It’s usually better to attend that than the game. Ole Miss rarely wins the game but they always win the tailgate. They’re also not snobs…they’re just better than you. LOL

Top of the Hill still exists, I would actually venture to Chapel Hill for an early lunch there before going to Durham if you aren't going to tailgate all day. Durham just isn't that great of a town other than the campus.

The Circa Sports -2 was not a real line. All real books opened between 5.5 and 7. I got Duke +6.5 the moment it went live on DKs.

Without a doubt. The key here is going to be making them one dimensional offensively, and Notre Dame has the secondary to do that against most of the teams left on their schedule.
