It quit becoming a trap game when they beat Clemson. Now it’s just a challenge for ND to get back up after likely being mentally & physically gassed after tonight’s heartbreak. That’s why the coaching staff gets paid big bucks. This game will tell us more about MF than tonight did.

That stands out because most others are “should have made” or “could have made” plays—missed FG, DJB missed int, 4&1, etc. 10 men on the field is so grossly fundamental as to be fireable.

They are gonna have along week. Duke’s biggest game in a long time and game day is there. So the coaches have to get them pumped up again after a emotional game that they didn’t win.

11-1we're definitely in but we're definitely not going 11-1. I had this as a loss regardless of the OSU outcome. Still do. Duke is incredibly well coached, really stout D, great Qb. I think they're as good or better than OSU and it's on the road.

If we win this game will complete 180 my current feeling about this season which is a good opportunity for this team. I just don't see it happening.

You think Duke is as good or better than Ohio State who was one play from the title game last year? Aside from their QB how many Duke players would see the field at Ohio State? And yes it's on the road but it's just fucking Duke. It's like going to Wake Forest.

They are well-coached and it's a potential letdown game for sure, but let's not get carried away.

They play good defense with very little high profile players and they tackle. Game day is there another high emotional situation for the team. I am not ready to say my feelings on the game. This hasn’t been our bright spot.

So with ND/OSU, Buckeyes clearly had the more talented roster based on recruiting rankings just like ND has over Duke. OSU is starting a new QB so that led some to believe the playing field was leveled & the fact ND was playing so well as a team on both sides of the ball (like Duke). ND has zero excuse to lose to Duke. Yes, they are very good & Elko has them believing so anything can happen. But if the staff & players can’t get back up to beat a ranked Duke in prime time to prove they still have a pulse, then there’s more issues than we know about.
