Watched his "highlights" from the last spring game.

What I see, and I'm not a film guy:
  1. Strong enough arm but not amazing
  2. Athletic but not mobile if that makes sense. May be able to scramble for a 3 and 5 but isn't going to consistently beat you with his legs.
  3. Seems to be able to make the easy throws.
  4. Doesn't seem to be able to fit into tight windows.
  5. Tries to force things.
No idea what their run game is like, but if we can take that away and force this guy to beat us, we should have plenty of success. They have good enough (great wide receivers) that they'll probably hit some chunk plays. But if you make this guy be consistent for 4 quarters, we can cause havoc/turnovers.
Gotta stop the run or it doesn’t matter who their QB is. Jake Fromm proved that his freshman season when he came to South Bend and won his first start as a Bulldog.

Never understood this response, no one here is suiting up for the team..
You don't think if a good amount of fans are thinking ahead or overlooking an opponent that the sentiment couldn't be shared or permeated through to a team? I played sports in HS, if we had a big game coming up, the student body would tend to talk about that one ahead of the easier games. They didn't play for the team. Let down games are a thing. BYU in 2012 ahead of our trip to Norman? How about the week after OU when it took a miracle to beat Pitt in 3OT?

Not saying any players are perusing IE, but if posters are saying "4-0 heading into OSU" I'm sure there are other fans/students thinking the same thing.

It's just a mentality. One game at a time.

But to each their own.

I sure hope the D1 Athletes are in a different headspace than HS kids.

Obviously. It was just a minor example. Now imagine if there was social media, news outlets, thousands of more students, and millions of fans.

Not worth beating a dead horse. Like I said, it's just a mentality. Don't have to agree with me, that's the point of a message board where opinions are shared and debated, anyways.

My apologies, I wasn't disagreeing with you as a whole. I think you could even argue that many of the D1 athletes aren't in a better headspace than HS kids. My point wasn't to put your thoughts down, so my apologies there. My point was more along the lines of, "If this is an issue for D1 kids then that's their fault."

I don't disagree with your point. I still, in my mid 30's, see people I played with talking about HS days. It's a big deal for many and the folks around have a huge impact on the kids. More or less, I hope the CFB programs have these kids mentally prepared to focus in, not around.

No need to apologies my friend, I can certainly handle disagreements, as I've had many with plenty of posters on this board. Apologies if you thought I was coming at you.

I was just explaining my personal logic to the posters who "never understood" the one game at a time mentality, even from a fan who's not actively on the team. It's just ingrained in my brain that way. And it's naive to think that players/coaches don't hear outside noise. Might affect some more than others.

ND held them to 20 points and 4.5 yards per play.

That game wasn't lost because ND couldn't contain the run. It was lost because ND had no threat of a passing game and UGA could just tee off on the LOS.

It was the same problem that ND constantly runs into when playing against top tier opponents. One-dimensional offense gets stymied and the defense can't do it alone. That's what happened last year in Columbus, the last 2 playoff appearances, the last 2 games against Georgia, etc.

AMEN! I can't wait for this game to see Sam Hartman give us a dynamic we have not seen for ages against top tier opponents.

My wife planned a camping trip with two other familes in our neighborhood this weekend. Checked and the place doesn't have wifi and broke it to her today there's zero chance I'm missing this game. Fun

Is it an option to use cellular data and use your phone as a mobile hotspot? I used a streaming app this past Saturday while traveling from Jacksonville, FL and was surprised how well it went, especially since the drive went through mostly rural areas in FL and GA. Only buffered a couple of times (I used my phone mobile hotspot and watched the game on my iPad) for maybe 30 seconds.

I've never done a hot spot but I'm sure it can be an option and one I'll have to do.

Bro take the weekend off. Enjoy nature, breathe the fresh air and have fun with your family. And most importantly shut the phone off and stay out of the game day thread. Do this for all of us.

That's our plan up at our rustic cottage this weekend. Use the mobile hotspot, connect to a small flatscreen we're bringing and stream it

Just got my tickets, I'll be in section 129. I'll read through 6 pages if I have too...but does anyone know if it's going to be a "green out" like do I need to grab a green jersey?

I do think that's a safe assumption for this one. The only color I ever wear now when I'm going to a game is green

I'd buy a green shirt, at the very least!
