Yeah I watched the PU/USC recording today and PU is way better than last year. Browne makes mistakes (so did Marcel Reed) but he can run a little and throw the intermediate pass well. OL is nowheres near as good as TA&M but will we take advantage? Take the points.
Barry Odom is a good coach, they play hard and physical and use a lot of their bench. They did play a 3-3-5 most of the time vs SC but that was to dare them to run. They won't do that vs us.

They have 80 new players according to CBS. Nothing to see as far as last year is concerned.
Browne had three picks. One was a pick six. The other was in the SC end zone so it really killed them on the scoreboard as well. Last year, he recorded 100 yds on the ground in one game so he can run if pressured.

SC also were 4/4 on 4th down attempts.

Question: (haven’t been to a game in almost 10 years)

When it comes to parking, what is the best place?

I just looked on a parking app and nothing is available on campus.

Park here and then thank me later. I splurged on bookstore parking last weekend and regretted it. This is on the east side of campus. $30 and goes to a good cause. 10 min walk to center of campus. And after the game there is no traffic

Wonder how many they’ve overturned? When you slow down a clip to the point replay does now, it’s more likely to be considered targeting…especially if the person getting hit happens to be the QB. Even Terry McAuley questioned this call IIRC during the game. Aggies fans think he’s a ND homer b/c they’ve never had him do one of their games. Irish fans can attest he calls ‘em like he sees ‘em b/c he disagreed w/ plenty of calls that went ND’s way. I believe he thought Bowen should’ve been flagged on the vicious hit he put on ball carrier as he was going out of bounds.

That looks about 2 miles from stadium? Is that the right spot?

While certainly not all of the negatives in the first two games are a reflection of quality of competition, most of them are--perhaps most notably where pass rush is concerned (as ND faced two top OLs and one hyper-mobile QB.) Hopefully, this is the start of a long streak where the masses start to gradually understand that.

I generally park just east of the campus in some of the private home lots...usually off of Bulla Ave...

That's what I did last year for FSU, I used ParkWhiz app and found a private lot just east of campus. For about $20 we parked at Ascent Hospice on Edison, just .6 miles from the stadium parking lot. The people there even took my son and I to campus when we parked, so we only had to walk back after the game and it was a very short walk. The best part was we were able to get right on the road, didn't have to wait through any traffic. Normally I'd have a Stadium Lot tag, but I would 100% use that same location for parking again using Park Whiz if they're still offering that spot. Very nice people, and the free ride to campus didn't hurt.

If Moore and Smith are hurt, and Shuler is out for the 1H, this will likely be the least talented ND secondary to take a field in years.

I would expect they will play it very safe as a result. IMO you play man with both safeties back and keep everything in front. Need, need, need your F7 to win battles. Maybe more ball control than CJ Carr air it out show that people are expecting.

If they get their feet under them, I can see starting to pull away. But the 1Q is important here because hitting a shot or two and suddenly this defense might lose all confidence.

Good thing Purdue's OL isn't good

We are going to grind their bones to make our bread.

We come out flat and uninspired. We leave an improved team hanging around too long. This is a tight one in the 4th. 35-27 Irish

I’ll be shocked if Moore doesn’t play. He finished the game so I can’t see why he wouldn’t.

I wonder if some of you realize we played two top 10 teams to start the year...

48-13
But Purdue played USC close!

If this game is close it's because ND played like garbage. Not just the defense. The whole team. Purdue stinks.

If neither Gray or Moore play than I’ll actually go 45-20. Annoying defensive display but their health is more important.
