SC fan told me their former OL coach is now OC at Purdue so they were ready for what Riley was gonna throw at them leading Riley to add some wrinkles. Supposedly they run a similar offense to SC. I didn’t watch so who knows?

Watched a little of the Purdue/USC tussle this AM. They are better than last year but thats not saying much. Odom is a good coach but their talent isn't remotely close to A&M or Miami. Lots of sideways passes. Joey Tanona is their starting LT. That might tell you something.

Their first TD was a total fluke play, two backward passes the second one was to the QB. USC had the interception, would have been a pick six, dropped it and the QB picked it up and ran 26 yards for the TD. USC stopped, thinking it was an incomplete pass. The refs ruled it backwards (it was very close) and therefore a fumble that could be advanced. Incredibly lucky to score on such a dumb and poorly executed play.
