They don't exactly have the 'this play is the most important play of your life' mentality on every play that Saban teaches his team .

It's because it doesn't matter if they're going to the NFL or not. The ND degree and connections will carry them through life financially. The Alabama kids are going to the NFL, or in a lot cases, back to the shitty neighborhoods they grew up in.

It just means more.

Best part of this season is ACC refs will root for us just like they did with Clemson

The difference between good and average is that 3rd down. As soon as Davis breaks inside, the DB is out of the play and it’s a TD. Book doesn’t throw it. That’s 7 for a good QB.

This is a bad take..... Because ND is better academic school they don't play as hard as Bama? And not all Bama players are from Watts and Crenshaw...

Just saw this so had to rewind the DVR. I didn't see any separation on either view. The first view was poor, but the second view (from QB) didn't show anyone beat.

FWIW... Even Dungy said it was good coverage, and a good decision by Book.

Do you have the sky cam view or something?

I wish we could rinse and repeat a Brady Quinn type every season. I just dont think BK has the ability to develop a QB. QBs seem to peak FR/SO year and then more of the same.

No disrespect but it’s usually me getting called out for being a downer sooooo....nice to shed some of that heat! Lol 😆

Yeah, I come on here for recruiting coverage, game comments, etc. Yet it never fails while venting my frustration that I offend someone. Oh well! I live in Tide country so it’s just embarrassing year in and out to see these performances. Still love my team and wear my ND attire with pride.

Boom, hope this stands.

A TD here and they cover!

Please get a long run from Tyree for a score.

Chase Brice looks like Jimmy Clausen if he would have continued that In and Out Burger diet that Weis had him on as a freshman.

The QB cam showed the DB behind Davis, that’s precisely what you want. S cleared out, put the ball on Davis once he makes his cut. QB 101 man. And even after that. The DB stayed behind Davis, throw the ball in front of Davis, at least, see if he can make a play. There was literally nobody in front of him.

Not really. Just look at the before and after pictures of high school ND commits. Muscle tone says a lot. You have a legit out... You take it!

Book left 21 points on the field missing wide open guys for walk in TDs. Twice he didn’t even see/throw to the guy. He left another 7 on the field with a 1st and goal turnover.

The OL did not do well when they said “go dominate the guy right in front of you”... when they mixed it up more, they blocked better, but I was very discouraged by the 1v1 losses in the first quarter.

So “play calling” isn’t even in my top 5 areas for improvement. The plays were there to be had, the execution was the problem.

Wait... We can or cannot say things like this without ridicule?

Agreed. So much offense left on the field due to lack of execution, somewhere. When it wasn’t the OL, it was Book. When it wasn’t Book, it was Tremble. Etc

Let’s just hope the hype is warranted, chalk it up to rust and what 2020 has dealt everyone. We won, here’s to game to game improvement.
