With the O/U at 52.5... final score 'estimate' is 36-16. Hard for me to believe that the Irish won't have 24-28 points by the half on Marshall. Are you thinking MFMF takes the foot off the pedal and we are back to the last 12 years of HC or the Irish defense is weak? Just asking your opinion....

Marshall’s RB from last year (Ali) is a stud but doesn’t sound like he’s back with the team yet as he works out some personal stuff. Marshall is still a formidable G5 opponent but they struggle when they try to punch up to the P5 level (at least recently).

BK only lost one home opener in his career at ND. We all know which one that was, so if there’s thunderstorms in the forecast, move the game to WV.

Marshall is very far from a cupcake but this cannot even be close if we want to hold onto any respect we got in Columbus.

We can’t have the typical Kelly nail biter with lesser talent.

I think Tommy and Harry both have a lot to prove this week and they're going to have a motivated offense. No holding back. You give a team like Marshall, who's had a lot of success recently, a reason to believe, it could get interesting. They're going to come out and score early and often, IMO.

Well, right now the narrative is we don’t have enough talent on the offensive side. So if we score 52 that may show that there is talent and Rees just blew the Ohio State game. If we don’t score many points the argument is Rees just sucks. Either way the arguing will continue to just after the USC game.

I don’t know where you’re seeing Rees pollyannas because it just hasn’t been there, I’ve seen nothing but more than fair criticisms of his play calling, the only other issue was execution of a few plays that could have hit if ran correctly. I’m about as big a fan of Tommy as you can find, and I was really disappointed with his call-sheet Saturday and need to see a lot more from him going forward

It’s Marshall. We should blow them away and it shouldn’t be a question. Go up by 3 tds then you try new things to get this offense going and not so predictable. Cincy beat them 52-14 last year that should be similar score for this game.

Toledo 2021, Ball St 2018. I get the point you're trying to make but we've had plenty of issues in the past when overlooking inferior opponents.
Marshall has made a bowl game in five straight seasons and 8 times in the past 9 seasons. This isn't a group of five team to take lightly.

I think we will win handily because MFMF and the players want to rebound after a tough loss and they'll be focused leading up to this game. Not because "it's just Marshall."
