Wants to improve but doesn't care about third down conversion rates if we take care of the ball, which we did at MSU.

Brady has been great at changing coordinators and adapting, but his personality defines the plan.

Brady is a great coach who plays tough defense and finds a way to run the football

It was last season, and it happened because he was going at it too hard with the Michigan trolls...

Yet, we still allow these buffoons to come over here and **** us off.

Fvck you Michigan

Oh okay.. Yea GoBlue has been here for a while but he's got no reason to cop an attitude.. That wisea$$ approach cannot be tolerated.

I think TheTeam16 has been fair and is just honestly looking to converse.. We'll see if they come back Saturday.

I just watched the first half replay of Bama/Um. Denard has little to no accuracy when it comes to passes more than 10 yards deep. He missed Gardner 3 times in the first quarter.. just awful.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but this Saturday (Sep 22nd) will be Denard's 22nd birthday.

discuss...

why must I share a birthday with someone like this? I will also be 22. For Denard's golden birthday, he is going to get beat under the golden dome!

In Denard's defense, that was the first game ever that Gardner had attempted to play wide receiver. After the game Gardner and Idiot Borges both admitted he was having trouble running routes. This accounted for most of the targeted misses.

In all honesty the more I start to look at the offensive game plan so far this year, your best defense for Shoelace is our offensive coordinators gameplan.

If Borges wakes up with his tard hat on and tries to force Denard into the BS west coast offense gameplan we saw against Bama...Its game, set, match before halftime.

Yea, I thought I'd see more designed runs for Denard..

Is it possible Hoke knew early this game was over and didn't want to jeopardize Denard's health, being that the Big10 championship is the goal?

I agree that Gardner's routes were poor and one of your receivers just got manhandled but Denard's long ball accuracy is not impressive. I expect to see a lot of bubble screens to spread out the LBs and designed runs for 16.

Hoke may even test our young secondary with the long ball but he'll find out quick that they can hold their own when it comes to the jump ball.. hell, they even turn their heads and look for the ball.

In an interview today Hoke admitted to telling stupid Borges at half to wipe the gameplan and let Denard loose...hence the fact we actually outscored Bama in the second half(read into that what you want). I will promise you the long ball will not be in play this weekend much, unless again stupid borges shows up. They will execute near the same gameplan they did last season for the most part, except maybe the will get it going before the 2nd half this year.

If borges is smart, and I have had multiple other intelligent football fans say the same thing, this game will be intensely spread triple option read heavy, with the third option being the short throw. Its what Denard is best at hands down. It is what he has made his killing off of and if he can execute it, will certainly force your front seven to respect.

This coaching staff, I believe and would hope, has learned by now this year that the designed runs (not option reads) have not worked this year. While our O-line has been above average in pass protection, they are very sub par in creating running lanes. No doubt this will be even more of a task against your exceptional front seven, and I say that with all honesty, Y'all have some grown *** men in there.

Borges has to allow Robinson to be the creative, spur of the moment player he is. Look at the majority of Robinsons great memorable runs over the seasons, how many come off designed runs? I would argue less than 10%. Denard is at his best running of the spread option read, with the short pass as the third option, play action pass, or just a simple pass play breaking down. Diaco is not an idiot, he will follow bamas gameplan to a T. When you have that many eyes on the QB, designed runs just do not produce against talented defense. Borges has to use the things I mentioned above to confuse and add wrinkles to this offense that forces the defense to key on other players and try to spread their attention to others, not just Robinson.

In short, our success in this game comes down to the offensive gameplan. Borges at sometimes has amazed me with how awesome he incorporates his west coast offense, with the spread Denard is most used to. However, Borges has a tendency, especially in big time road games, to become EXTREMELY conservative. If he does this, against your D in south bend next Saturday, I leave at half time. No sense in watching the massacre ensue.

Keep the big plays to a minimum, make sure our defense fields a couple of arm punts, and RUN THE FOOTBALL and we take this game.

When Denard makes up 101% of your offense, who else do you key in on?

Thats a great question that no one can answer right now. Someone else has to step up in this game, again all determined by Borges play calling and putting players in a position to succeed.

Misdirection and Screens will hopefully be utilized regularly to negate your aggressive defense... if borges is smart.

Screens are rarely seen against our defense because Manti Te'o reads and blows them up 98% of the time.

I don't think Michigan needs another player to step up to move the ball, since Denard has accounted for 948 of Michigan's 987 yards during the last two contests.

Be careful what you wish for, we have a ILB that has a nose like a blood hound for misdirection and especially screens. And by "aggressive defense" you mean our front 3
What about the 4 behind them?

I'm hoping we take a page out of Mich. st.'s playbook from last year when they were sending all types of heat from the edge at DR.

Quick question...can anyone tell me how many players on your defense per unit played against Michigan last year? Names would be sweet to but if not its cool. Just curious!

I think Team16 is right on with some of that analysis though. I know Denard is not the right fit for the system Borges wants to run, but when you have a player that talented you tailor the system to him. He's probably the most electric running QB I've ever seen and he is relatively good at throwing short passes with zip and accuracy (NOT deep balls or touch passes ... not reliable at all on those). Some form of triple option incorporating short passes sounds like the way to go. Hopefully the Michigan coaches don't get wise and do that.

I would say we did a pretty decent job of negating Manti last year for the most part, as much as can be expected. He is an amazing player and very respected by any competent cfb fan.

Thank you for the complement! if you look at statistics over the last few seasons and negate through film review interceptions that cannot be put in Denard, ball slipping though hands, tipped passes, exceptional defensive plays...Denard is actually a pretty competent thrower of the ball inside 25 yards.

Just the fact he can throw 70 yards off his back foot, as we have seen time and again, shows you the kid has an arm haha.

Let's not get carried away.

Probably not 70 yds haha, bit of an over exaggeration!

I didn't say it was accurate at that distance, but how many other QBs have you ever seen that can throw a ball 50 yds down field while back peddling, off their back foot.

He has a live powerful arm, and inside 25 yards, off the read he can zip it and make defenses pay.
