Hoping it's a sprain... but the way he went down and grabbed the outside of his knee? Looking like a tear.
Had nothing to do with turf. Not sure how you're making that connection after seeing how it happened.
Yes it absolutely was the FieldTurf. It's not just cutting on it that's dangerous. There's a physiological impact when your body expects the ground to behave a certain way and it doesn't. The stats don't lie on this stuff. Every bit of research says that it'll fuck up your knees (except for those studies funded by the turf companies). That had nothing to do with field turf bro
Certainly. I'm not saying that knee injuries are impossible on grass. But the general trend of rampant knee injuries is caused, at least in part, by the transition to artificial playing surfaces.I get the frustration but where Gramatica did that, wasn't he on grass? This I don't think is a grass vs. turf discussion in this case.

listening to Drue scream in pain makes me want to puke. this is a tough one as he is my favorite
Oh come on now. You cannot blame FieldTurf for this injury. If it makes you feel better at night then go ahead, but you cannot objectively say it was the cause.
Looked like Drue was flinching on the way up. I doubt he hurt himself celebrating.
I watched it again and you see his knee completely buckle under him when he lands after the celebration. I could be wrong, but that is what it looked like to me.

He starts to grab his knee mid air. It happened before the landing

That's what I thought at first. However, the knee he grabs mid air is not the knee he injures.
I think he might have honestly cramped or pulled something in his left leg going up for the jump and then he lands awkwardly on his right leg because of it.
ANYWAYS, who is next man in?
You can say I'm right. It won't hurt. You're right. Just saw the replay. Want to call it a fluke, but...
