Let me get this straight, Nix was double teamed, Tuitt was doubled team, and Sheldon was outstanding.

Did UM have 9 OLs on the field?

Wow, maybe not wanting to hurt is confidence. But, watching the game a couple times his penetration wasn't there. I did see 3 times he did penatrate, but not even consistant. And I guess I saw him not contain on I belive 4 instances. Same with Shembo.

But, then again BK said Tommy will beat you if you put 8 or 9 in the box. Well that is true if you are not playing a good defensive team (Stanford, Michigan, Florida State, etc all that Tommy couldn't beat). Tommy hasn't beaten a good defensive team since USC rain game. He averages under 160 yards throwing and has 9TDS and 14 Ints and 3 or 4 fumbles. And he has proved again this year he can't do it in the clutch. So, of course BK is going to say things that aren't going to hurt a kids confidence. Like Tommy and Day. Not saying they are crappy players, just played crappy against Michigan.

BK is in full not hurting kids confidence role right now. I can't disagree with that at all.

As long as we play teams without good defenses Tommy won't turn it over But, soon as FSU/Mich/Stanford type teams roll around 9 TD's and 18 turnover Tommy comes rolling in too. He has proved this over, and over, and over, and over. First shot this year--poof and 2 more INTs and one right in the hand by a defender dropped. If you don't have a mobile QB in today's college football you won't be a good team. Outside of Alabama. We are stuck in a hard spot right now. Our mobile QB's--1 BK doesn't trust, 1 got kicked out of school, and the other has Mono. So, we are stuck. Tommy is doing his best, but his best isn't good enough if we go against good defenses. The only asterik in my opinion is if our running backs can go off that would take a huge amount of pressure of of Tommy. Stats don't lie. and Tommy is a turnover machine against good teams. Yes, he is like 15-5 as a starter (2 michigan loses, USC, Stanford, FSU) So, basically every good team Tommy has gotten beat by. If we play weaker teams we are just fine with Tommy. Imobile QB's in today's football are not what you need to win. So, BK will try to get his confidence up (even when all the stats are against him against good teams).

Totally agree with Nich Martin statement. Young kid, not a center originally. He held up just fine under the pressure. Not perfect, but a lot of pressure.

Watching the game multiple times, I did like seeing Ishaq being more aggressive. And Jaylon Smith is going to be really, really, really good. Once he gets more reps, he is going to me a mad man.

TJ is a Flipping stud. Hercules too.

If Daniels wants to be the man, he can. He just has to beat his guy consistantly. Then again he has to to it fast, Tommy can't escape any with his legs to extend plays.

Amir is way more physical than I thought.

Zach Martin is a flipping stud too. And a heck of a nice guy (His parents are the same, was on the plane to/from the Sun Bowl with them).

Kyle looked better all the way around.

Interesting. So I guess Luke Massa is the third QB again this week.

He will be a cornerstone for years to come. His run blocking honestly looked like a jr or sr

If you go back two years ago, Kelly is handling the freshman RB's like he did with Tuitt and Lynch. He didn't play them (linemen) because he didn't think they were ready to defend Denard Robinson. I'm pretty sure Denard against a freshman d-line player would get pretty ugly. Since Kelly said we checked nearly 40% of our offensive plays, the freshman RBs might be put in a situation where they aren't sure to block or run a route at this point. If they let a defensive player have a free shot on Rees and he gets hurt, our season goes to **** real quick. Kelly knows what he's doing and I expect to see freshmen's reps go up as the season progresses, but it would've been nice to see a reporter ask why they didn't play AND to see why we kept passing to GA3 when he showed he has kitchen pans for hands!!

Tom Brady and Manning? Really :) Both make great decisions and have good arms. Tommy doesn't have a good arm, and makes sketchy decisions.

Not the same thing at all.

Take a look at the Game Splits against Temple and Michigan.

Whatever our problems are this season, Rees ain't one of them.

I was thinking the same thing, in terms of comparing Kelly holding out the freshmen RBs to Kelly holding out Tuitt and Lynch against UM two years ago. The freshmen will play when Kelly thinks its appropriate. No need to force it.

I agree. At this point, blaming Tommy is the easiest emotional response.

Unfortunately I think it is about being right. "See, I told you we couldn't win with Tommy. Even though we have a great defense, our QB is going to let us down".
