He got chewed out by coaches for loafing, he missed some assignments, argued with multiple coaches, and threw 2 or 3 punches at a Bama player. If you can't control yourself and maintain your composure when things aren't going well, you're a liability. NFL scouts see that stuff. He didn't help his draft stock.

I watched the replay of the Trojan player cheap shot the QB and then celebrate and laugh while the guy was down and clearly injured. WTF??? How did Riley not chew him out right there in front of the world then have him escorted out of the stadium? That was some of the trashiest behavior I've seen from a player in years. Riley doing nothing at the time and only a slap on the wrist later says a lot about his character and that of the team.

Expecting LR to do something is like expecting...
Well that started well, but I cannot think of anything as improbable as LR enforcing discipline. He is the coaching equivalent of a parent who wants to be their kid's best friend.
