Lyons is a silent commitment and is waiting to announce at the AA game.

Ishaq may be leaning towards ND over PSU.

For this class to be great, a WR was needed. Davaris is that man. Also, a top notch safety is needed. If Lyons is that guy, this class has everything it needed. If one more is added, Williams, Huggins, Drew, French or another fast and hard hitting safety would be great!

I think I have made it pretty clear that there will only be two or maybe three more players recruited in this class. That includes Davaris Daniels.

WR - Davaris Daniels.
S - Lyons or other
3rd - best of the rest that wants to play at ND.

The third may be French, Williams, Drew, Huggins or another safety.

What I've always wondered is how many of these kids can step in and play as Freshmen? I'd imagine someone like Lyons (or basically any skill position player/DB with enough speed and talent) could... but do DLs and OLBs need to bulk up more before they can effectively play at the D1 level?

If I could have two more recruits on my dream list it would be Lyons and probably Williams or French. I would love to have Drew but don't see that happening. I think we will fill these last couple of slots shortly and we just wont have anymore room on board for anyone else.

i am actually suprised we are even being considered in recruitment(1-3). Kelly must be spinning some magic and I love it. From reading recruits post on facebook, his sales pitch is a NC in 2 years. I think he is telling the recruits that positions are wide open (helps that TJ Jones is starting/playing) and that the program will again rise to prominence.

I am a bit worried though, anyone expect any decommitments? I have a few in mind....

I like how our commitments have gotten to know each other and are already becoming close in several cases. I hope we don't lose anyone from this class, as I see it being a very special one. Of course one or two may go elsewhere, but hope that does not happen.

There was a recent statistic that 80% of NFL players are broke within 2 years from leaving the league. If these are RKGs...and love the University first, Kelly doensn't have to spin much.

I could not agree more with this. Notre Dame has soooo much to offer! A degree from Notre Dame will open many doors. Notre Dame is such a special place. We all love our football but the education one gets from Notre Dame and the experience there is untouchable in my opinion. For recruits seriously looking at a place where they can play good football with alot of tradition, and also get a highly marketable diploma..., then Notre Dame is a great place for kids to look at.

If the Lyons story holds true, it'd be nice for him to commit with his new Irish teamates in the background who are playing in the AA game. I think thats the kind of bond this class is developing into and it'd be a great welcome to him from the class.
