Andy, as you must know, most HMG's turn into BMW's. I think from eating their own cooking.

I mean this is the taco thread. Besides, I'd eat her.

My mother in law calls my wife her "Salma Hayek" because she kind of resembles her... I have asked my wife if that means i can sleep with Salma without it really being cheating, still an obvious work in progress, on literally every level imaginable...

Report: Suspended Notre Dame players unlikely to play this year
3 minutes ago
The Chicago Tribune reported Thursday that a source with knowledge of the situation indicated that suspended Notre Dame football players Eilar Hardy, DaVaris Daniels, Ishaq Williams, Kendall Moore and KeiVarae Russell are unlikely to play this season as part of their punishment for alleged school honor code violations.

The student athletes are still enrolled at the school but have been suspended from all team activities. There have been hearings regarding the case this week, but coach Brian Kelly and the school have indicated that they will not publicly discuss the findings or results of any of the rulings and that it will be up to the players and their families to disclose any information.

According to the Tribune article, the situation may not be settled for a few more days because students have the right to appeal the results of any hearing. Regardless of the outcome, the players are still not on the team's active roster and were not at practice on Wednesday.

meh. no different from source 2 and 3....

So, I've been thinking about breakfast a lot lately and started some discussion at m direct report meeting this morning. The directors were entrenched in a debate on who is better, IHOP, or Waffle House (awful waffle). I've always enjoyed both. Awful waffle more when I was a young kid seeking 3am gut rot. Now that I've hit the 40s, I find myself seeking out the more comforting environment of IHOP.

What say you?

Did you mean to use italics?

To me it looks like this says nothing. Just a reporter saying "this thing is slow, I bet they won't be back this year" rather than one of us saying the same thing. What am I missing?

IHOP is one of the few restaurants that I have ever walked out of in disgust. Refuse to ever go back to that shithole.

They're franchises (I know of one that's pretty good), so the variance in quality from one store to another could be quite large. That being said, I don't risk it.

Street vendor taco? Challenge accepted. Mystery IHOP? Ehhhh, pass.

Tribune has a source saying the same thing as Pete Sampson's source. So either two people are saying that the Frozen Five won't play this year, or the same person has said it twice (or three times ... there was also O'Malley's "three source" report, and this source might have been one of the three).

Basically, what you're missing is that the Tribune report gives us a major media outlet corroborating Pete's and O'Malley's reports.

Places I won't eat due to food being inedible or not worth the price...

-Taco Bell
-Wendy's
-HomeTown Buffet
-Panda Express
-Chipotle

Burger king is close, but my wife likes the onion rings every once in a while so I deal.

No italics, we can talk tacos all day any day...well maybe not game day.

Chicago Tribune wouldn't report anything unless there was something to report...still could be false though. But better then from a random poster saying "I heard from my source."

I had 4am breakfast at IHOP on a few occasions with strippers during my Ft. Wayne college days. I don't remember what that place looked like.

What's wrong with Panda Express? It's not that bad and the prices are reasonable. Maybe it's another instance of franchise variability. /*shrug*/ I've got an old Asian couple who must own the one near me because they are always there. Dude must be 70 and he rocks the wok, hard.

HomeTown Buffet is the worst... Chipotle is right up there.

Price plays into it a bit... It's about a dollar-plus more per plate than the average mom and pop, they give less food and it's not even close to as good... pretty much hate Panda even though I would rate Chinese as my second fav. food behind Mex. Just me.

HomeTown Buffet is the worst... Chipotle is right up there.

Chipotle isn't really 'bad' imo as much as it is obscenely overpriced... their burritos aren't close to a good mom and pop like the ones we all discussed a couple pages ago and they tend to be about ~2 bucks more per burrito... just not worth it in any way shape or form...

and yeah, Home town is bad, plus idk how it is elsewhere but that place is basically a food version of Walmart, i felt like i needed a detox bath after.

You must live near a shitty Wendy's. It's not gourmet, but it beats most of the fast food, drive up burger chains imo. They don't load their fries up with salt, which is good, and I think they use better quality ingredients in comparison.

Chipotle...I agree, don't get the fascination, and they don't compare to a mom and pop. Meat tastes a bit bland imo.

- Burger King makes that list for me
- Moe's Southwestern Grill
- Qdoba
- Dominoes Pizza
- Any all you can eat buffet (Ryans, Old Country, etc)

And Wendy's used to be a pretty good fast food burger. They now suck. I'll eat McDonald's before eating Wendy's

Yeah,... I can count the times I've been given a fully cooked, cheese melted, tasty burger from Wendy's without lifting a single finger... easily the worst fast food burger joint imo... in fairness I did like their taking their fries and pouring that chili seasoning all over them years ago, then they stopped giving the chili seasoning packets to anyone who didn't order chili...

Yes, that's pretty much how I feel about it. I will still eat at Chipotle occasionally because the food isn't "gross" like the competing options may be in a given situation, but it is bland. I work in an area where there are so many amazing Mexican places that I am ruined forever on Chipotle.

Sounds like your local Wendy's needs to receive a strongly worded letter...change in management coming!

It's all of them, a stiff brick of cold cheese and stale buns are a corner stone of every Wendy's I've ever eaten at... maybe it's a Cali thing? I don't believe I've eaten at a Wendy's outside of Cali.

The chili seasoning thing really rubbed me wrong too... lol
