Are we going to get a verdict today?
No. Poodle says next week.
Are we going to get a verdict today?
I moved here from PA 20 years ago. Didn't like them at first but now I love them. Prefer them with syrup but shrimp and grits really are fantastic.
Here's the deal with grits. If you have to load them with syrup, honey, gravy, peanut butter, butter, cream or anything else, then they can't be that good. lol

I grew up in SW Ohio and now live in SC. I absolutely love grits. I can eat them on their own, cheese grits are the bomb, and shrimp and grits - ooooh weeee them's good eats!
Oh, and I loved them before moving to SC.
Yeah, but ask any engineer, nothing is good without a strong foundation! The grit is the glue that holds it all together
Stone Harbor is on the same barrier island as Avalon, just above the Wildwoods. Cape May County used to be a client of mine.
SW Ohio, nice!! I'm from SW Ohio as well
Thanks! (Always nice to know there is some basis of fact beneath my old memories. Nice to know it wasn't all fantasy or manure!)
So then. There was a pizza parlor either there or in Ocean City on the boardwalk, or in both places. It had two names, one may have been Mack's like Mack's & somebodies. Had these great NY style pies! Huge! Some really great tasting pizza! Enough of a clue?
Quite possibly the best sandwich ever made. It's called the Bobby from a sandwich shop called Capriottis..

Mack & Manco's....
Are grits a regional specialty? Never had them (or have even seen them in person). Just did some research and I think they look disgusting.
What, you don't put ketchup on a burger or salt and butter on your veggies?
Real men do not put ketchup on a good burger. A good burger's flavor needs to be accentuated with things like bacon, mushrooms, cheese and onions. Ketchup is used to drown the flavor of shitty burgers.
Grits done right can be tasty but you have to drown that shit in something as has already been pointed out.
Today is imminent Thursday.
Our boys having some fun with this on Twitter:
