yup. a very big part of the lore of ND is its history, tradition, legacies. numbers play an important role in that. if wins are vacated in my mind it may be the most damaging part of this whole fiasco.

from the start I think the biggest mistake (of many) was to even mention the idea of vacating wins in the first press conference.

It's just sad that literally all of the bad consequences could've been avoided by:
1. Catching people cheating in a timely manner instead of it taking years.
2. Instead of launching a giant probe, just dealing with the specific cheating initially brought to their attention.

I moved on from them a long time ago. Sure, the process was bullshit but fact is, they were caught doing shit they shouldn't have been doing. Nobody else to blame but yourself.

Of course I support them and hope they can return/play a la Golson but we're too deep into the season for me to give a shit.

Everyone thought this or that was about to happen and look for that turned out? 2 months later we are still here. With the decision coming soon, people could be making shit up just like last time. The admin has already reached the point of no return, but if the university actually thinks that vacating wins is anything but a completely brainless idea, then heads need to roll.
