Because it's not lining up with the artificial timeline imposed by IE and unidentified "sources"? I mean I really enjoyed that game Saturday, which signaled ND football will be ok with or without 4 players. We'll know when we know

Yeah, I know none of us can do anything but make assumptions, but I feel like thats a pretty positive tweet. Especially with DD tweeting the other day.

I assume that all honor code violations aren't equal (related to these academic things), right? I mean, if Russell's only transgression is that he didn't squeal, can his punishment for that be something less than, say, expulsion or suspension for the season that might come from, say, having someone prepare term papers for you? Or is a one size fits all, in the sense that every one in on the bank robbery murder is charged with murder?

Btw, the US Military Academy cheating scandal of 1951 that decimated Army's first rate football team (83 cadets expelled) involved just such "toleration" as you describe. "A cadet does not lie, cheat or steal, or tolerate anyone who does." So this isn't a surprising inclusion in the UND code, though hard to believe it's enforced, esp. not with dire consequences.

To me, this is a really good point. Pop hasn't been very circumspect in his criticisms, so it's seem unlikely that he's doing so now, if DD is going to take it in the shorts.

Yeah, I dunno. At UVA if you see someone cheat or otherwise have knowledge of it and don't report it you're donezo... I know, because it happened to someone I know. No idea at ND. Not my area of expertise.

Usually student government organizations meet on a set day every week. The one I am a part of meets every Monday night.

I'm not exactly sure how the judicial council works, but I assume that they have a similar set up, so its not like it can be rushed. The investigation was completed at the end of last week, seemingly after the judicial council's meeting for the week. So whenever the council meets this week, their fate will be decided. Hope that adds some clarity (at least thats what I think the process is like from my experience with similar orgs.)
