What? Kids write their papers on computer. Save the files. It is amazing how quickly you can take a paper, with whatever standard format is required, change headers footers, title page and edit for content. It sounds stupid but try it. Take an English paper on Romanticists and use it for a social history class on sixteenth to eighteenth century Europe. I am just spit-balling, but you get the idea. If you save half the time, and have four papers (twenty hours each) due a semester, that could be forty hours of work per semester. Of course I have no idea what I am talking about, but you get the drift.

Yeah I get using same papers for different classes. I just highly doubt that doing that is the most common way students cheat nowadays.

You could have inadvertently hit one of the Post Icons bullets in the box below the Message Box with your pinky while tying your message with a index or middle finger.

If you're typing on a touch screen device, like my iPad, it's easy to do without noticing. If you proof your messages before posting you're focused on the message box not some other entry box you didn't look at.

Hit EDIT, then GO ADVANCED in the message box, then unclick the offending icon.

I've done it numerous times.

I knew you couldn't keep up the intensity and excellence you brought to IE in the last week or so. I cried silently for a second, then I thought, hell I do worse than that in almost every post!


SERIOUSLY

The reason you can't bet either way with any certainty is : A) This thing has too many moving parts; 2) Any logical conclusion to this whole illogical affair is based upon normal human behavior, (which is usually just one step this side of paranoid schizophrenia; III) This is obviously related to the truthful testimony of many individuals as it isn't going to be a cut and dry situation, like that is going to happen.

As LAX and others have pointed out this is set up to be a political and social solution, not one with scientific or mathematic precision, but one graced with the diplomatic skill of covering ones own ass.

Everyone just needs to pump the breaks. I don't believe that any of those guys on DomerDomain has a legitimate, 1st hand source on this shit. Just because they heard something around campus doesn't mean it has any more weight than a message board rumor... because it's just word of mouth spreading around campus.

I pumped mine, but if they are indeed waiting on the girlfriend to return to campus to clear this up, then someone on IE needs to take a day or two off, go pick her up and get her back to school immediately.

If they are waiting on her to get back and clear this up I'll be disappointed with about everyone involved in this situation. It shouldn't take but a phone call from the school, someone in the FB program, or one of the players to get her on campus ASAP. Since that hasn't happened, I doubt she is the key.

Unless that story with the girl isn't what this investigation is about, or he's simply not interested in what the name of her is, just that 'there was a girl involved'. I was like him, name of the girl didn't matter at all to me, I wasn't interested in what her name was. I trust him, my money's on the line.

As to the whole "one paper for more than one class" thingy, my junior year at ND I researched and wrote a paper for one class. Two other classes required papers that dealt with the same time period or a related topic.

I was able to incorporate the same core, grind-it-out research and personal point of view in each. I was in academic heaven. One area of scrutiny from three perspectives. I did additional reading and research (with appropriate citations) for the first and the subsequent two. My quest to schedule classes with interplay paid off.

Each paper was written to be appropriate to the class and topic. I had no internet, tutor or editor. I spent more time in the library on additional research. I had no outside help.

OK, OK, I had classmates to get stoned with and bounce ideas back and forth with, but no dot matrix printer to put print on paper. No e-mail pixels on screens either.

As I remember, I got two As and an A- on the papers.

Good point. I still think that just cause he doesn't know her name, doesn't mean he has bad info. The name doesn't really matter. Like I said, I was interested in the severity and who's involved and what was going to happen. I personally didn't care to hear her name at all.

I defn understand the counter point, but this just doesn't seem like a coincidence. Especially since her initials were known pre nation wide shit storm and they matched up two days later to the only person linked to this scandal.

In my response I am in no way saying she is innocent. Just saying it could be possible. There are so many stories from a players GF, to this girl, to writing of papers, to only proofreading, to............the list goes on. If I was in a position similar to hers, named in a scandal (I would never sleep with a guy, multiple guys, write a paper for a ND student, or trade sex for papers) I would shut my internet life down too. Look at our small internet board of fans and alums and look how we act and react at times. And a small number, or none, of us know the real story at this point.
