So, I'm considering watching my ND dvd collection starting this weekend, relive the glory days and just ignoring the current reality... I can live off of MLB and soccer for a while.

Same here I went from looking forward to a long bday weekend to feeling about the same way I felt on the night of the '12 championship annihilation game. I can't believe this the hits just keep on coming. Plus living in Alabama everyone just laughs like haha you should pull for an sec team then you don't have to worry about any of this every seeing the light of day. Ugh!

I agree with this sentiment. I don't think it kills us on the field either. Biggest loss is Ishaq. Just because that group is the most thin and weak group on the field. We'll be fine at corner...our nickel package isn't as strong now. We have plenty of WR's that can and will rise to the challenge in DD's absence. Obviously I wish we still had them all but the fact is we don't and I don't think our team is THAT much worse off. This is my on the field take. All other aspects not discussed.

biggest loss is easily KR imo... but ALL hurt.

Honestly this makes me wonder why I should follow ND. Before you jump on the hate Rudy train please read my post. The past 4 years have has high-highs and low-lows. We have been blown out by Navy and curb-stomped the Sooners. We have laughed and cried we have held a team on a goal line stand and had a Play named after a Catholic prayed used against us. We have added two nice trophies to our glorious trophy room and were battered as the sweetest one couldn't be gained and now we learn that BY OUR OWN DOING. NOT THE NCAA, NOT FEDERAL LAW, OUR OWN CHOICE THAT SOME OR MAYBE ALL OF THESE MEMORIES WILL JUST VANISH?!?!? What that hell what if we by a miracle win it all this year and a 3rd string lineman who blocks on kick return did this will that make this run not count?!? Unless by doing this we are avoiding a potentially worse penalty why make things any worse?

I'm happy that in a world where an actual student athletes are hard to come by and that our players graduate and have good lives but I'm a fan. I'm happy for their prosperity with their degrees but I don't have that prosperity I have a blue collar job where I want to win bragging rights among my co workers and over doing academic integrity selfishly doesn't get me anywhere. I know I've been negative here a lot and a lot of that is because here I can freak out because I can't when I talk sports with my co workers but honestly if we will just vacate wins on a while when we don't need to why get invested in this team to make these memories because the record books will shows these memories as never happening at your own teams discretion. Rant over sorry if I offended.

anyone else have a sinking feeling that the "perps" simply changed names on the same papers here, making this a somewhat easy "investigation" as long as their was a whistleblower to kick it all off.
