Am I the only one who thinks lady fighting is just about the most unappealing spectacle in modern society?
Holly just out boxed her, and that kick was a killer.
Talk about a blown up created celebrity. Really isnt even anything to look at. Was in all the magazines and talking movies at really just a little above average looks wise.
Clearly didnt take this fight very seriously and it cost her. Compare the physical shape of the two women and Rousey looked chunky.
Cyborg would have crushed her and she knew it. Of course, cyborg isnt actually female either.

Holly is a wayyyy better striker than Cyborg. Honestly a Ronda Cyborg fight would be much closer than this fight.
All those dummies online saying that Ronda could beat mayweather can shut up now. That would be an execution.
I would put a weeks pay on Ronda and 2 on holly.
That was not a boxing match it was a mma match. Distance is way different. Holly would leg kick the shit out of money. Hell he might not take 5 kicks. Never had too
Wingman Rey: I completely disagree.
Holms fought well.
Rousey had a bad fight.
She's still the best in the sport.
You might could say that if Holm hit her with a lucky punch. But this was a complete beat down by Holm. She dominated Rousey and showed a far superior skill set.

Women's MMA is still in it's infancy. Her reign is very similar to Royce Gracie's when the UFC first started. With Royce, very few were familiar with BJJ, so he was able to exploit this.
With Rhonda, her level of Judo is something none of these other women can even train against. As time passes, and more women enter the sport, the holes in Rhonda's game will be exposed (eventually, someone will be able to wrestle her out of her Judo throws). When that time comes, she'll be beaten, because she is currently a 1 (or 2) trick pony. Her one trick is just better than everyone elses.

I don't follow MMA or whatever it is called, but let's not get carried away. No doubt she is the dominant fighter in the women's ranks, but they key here is women's ranks. I don't question her ability to kick some butt, however her competition is other women. The number of women doing this has to be considerably far less than the number of men, so her competition is going to be far less than in the men's ranks making it easier for her.
I get all of that. My point was simply that it is easier to dominate in the women's ranks than in the men's.
I posted that in March, and another post about wanting her to fight a bigger striker like Cyborg (yes, self pat on the back, I know. Sue me).
Anyway, I go back to my point months earlier. Rousey is a great fighter, but she's also the beneficiary of the infancy of women's MMA. She got beat by another one-trick poney, but much more well-rounded defensively.
I'm not a big Ronda supporter or anything. I think her run was impressive, but I'm wondering if she didn't throw the fight a bit. She previously made comments that she wanted to take time off after this fight. She appeared to come out with a striking mindset with her opponent through much of the fight, which would be a weird strategy for her since she thrives on submission. I just wonder if maybe there was some pressure to drop the belt prior to her break, or maybe they plan on capitalizing on her later return. I know it's very tinfoil hat, and she took a pretty bad beating to achieve this, but at the very least she definitely didn't look prepared and her team came out with a poor game plan for this one. Couldn't believe her corner was telling her she was doing well after that first round and to keep it up. I would have said "Whatever you're doing, just stop. It's not working." I haven't watched many of her fights, but everything seemed very off in this one.
You serious? Lmao come on.
Throwing the fight is getting edged out or taking a fall. Not getting rocked repeatedly on the feet and finished by a head kick followed up by hammer fists to your limp body.
This is laughable.
Take it easy, I'm not saying that's what happened, but you have to admit that everything felt very off about this fight. At the very least Rousey definitely didn't appear as sharp in comparison to her previous fights, she certainly didn't respect Holly or she just didn't train as hard. I seriously question what her trainer was thinking after that first round though. Rousey was getting destroyed, and he says "You're doing great, keep doing what you're doing." WTF, was he even watching the same fight?
