Ha, actually, your story reminds me of a dark match I saw about 10 years ago in Cincinnati. It was after RAW finished filming, and it was when right after Orton split off from Evolution I think. HBK was tag teaming with Orton against HHH and Flair, and it was one of the funniest matches I ever saw. It was incredibly fake, but so entertaining. Even before the match began HHH was on the microphone talking trash to individuals in the crowd, making fun of them. A lot of it was kind of offensive, but it was funny. I remember he picked a fight with a little kid in the front row, and then somehow the kid wound up on the other side of the barrier and HHH was chasing him around the ring with HBK helping him escape. Someone about this giant HHH chasing a little kid and picking a fight with him was just hilarious. This was all before the match started.
The match itself was great too. There was one point where Flair and HHH were both in the ring, Orton popped them both at the same time, and them both face planted Ric Flair style. At another point Orton was down on his back and HHH climbed to the top rope, which rarely happens. As HHH is jumping down to deliver an attack, Orton lifts his foot at the last second and it clocks HHH in the jaw. HHH then stood there, dazed, for over half a minute, no exageration. He swayed back and forth during this time, while Michaels was in the corner trying to blow him over. Finally HHH shakes the cobwebs out, goes to take a step forward, and promptly face plants again. Huge roar from the crowd, it was hilarious.
There was plenty of other stuff too, but thats what I can remember. I would have to say that was actually my favorite match ever. They just did a bunch of stuff that you would never see them do on TV because they don't have the time to do it.
Ha, you're only upset because you know it's true. I love the Rock, don't get me wrong. He's easily one of the top 5 most charismatic guys to ever step into the ring. Hell, he could be #1. He's just never been, and never will be, a great technical wrestler. If the Rock wasn't golden on the mic, he would have never made it in the business. The fact is that he was electrifying when he spoke, and no one cared when he wrestled average matches.
