Am I duty-bound as a white man to vote a certain way too?

I saw an interesting comment yesterday. It was effectively something like...why is that white men are the only ones in the country that have the freedom to vote how they want without blow back? Is this white privilege?
I mean, if you think about it anytime someone that is black (Or other minority) comes out and votes the other way they get called an Uncle Tom, or now "white supremacist" which is hilariously backwards. They're expected to just fall in without question. As Biden said, "If you don't vote for me, you ain't black."

How in the hell is this not demeaning and counterproductive to Blacks? It says to Black teens, "You aren't able to compete academically or intellectually and get into college, so we'll lower the admissions standards or do away with them entirely so that you can." This is insulting and belittling. You help people succeed by helping them improve, not by lowering the bar.

In fairness, he could be talking about the tactics of building these bridges intentionally low by Robert Moses. He wanted to keep buses and the like from being able to access his public parks, beaches, etc. So while this would disproportionately affect working-class and lower-class people (which do include black and Latino peoples of the cities) it, there can even be a case it was just to stop any "poors" from going since he didn't like any of them. With that said, the dude did say some pretty racist stuff, like calling black people "inherently dirty," not allowing black veterans to move into a veteran complex, and more.

More obvious. The third guy who is friends with the father and son was intentionally capturing it on his phone. IIRC, he started taping before the incident started as they planned to confront the guy.

On the surface, wouldn't this cut more in the plaintiff's favor? You're more likely to record (or have someone record) a confrontation where you are trying to prevent criminality than you are to record your own criminality. There are criminals out there who are proud of their work and record it and there are morons out there too dimwitted to fully grasp that their behavior is criminal. For the most part, most people aren't recording their crimes.

I'm not sure what is going on in this case so I may have misunderstood your point here.

I haven't been following it, but I did see MSNBC put out a Tweet a few days ago saying that an attorney for Rittenhouse asked that Sharpton be removed from the courtroom. Of course, Sharpton wasn't at the Rittenhouse trial, so somebody at MSNBC wasn't paying attention or maybe it was intentional lol.

As I recall, when the police showed up, the plaintiffs gave one version and there was no mention of the third guy that was recording. Then police found that they had the third guy capturing everything. It was then they found out they had not only lied, but were the aggressors and shot the guy. He posed no real threat. I will say the guy they shot might be alive today if he hadn't went into the house that was under construction.

I've always felt Sharpton was an instigator. The attorney asked for his removal as he felt it was a move to intimidate the jury and make them fear for their safety if they voted the wrong way. Sharpton said the family asked him to come.
