Question about your jerseys.

I was in a debate last weekend with my cousin and I wanted to know what your guys thought.

We were discussing team gear that ended up in a debate about the proper time to wear your team's jersey. I finally got both my teams jersey (since they are expensive). I have a ND and a Green Bay jersey and she has a Colts jersey. I wear mine on that teams game day and so does she. Where she began to disagree was during the off season. I wear my jerseys from time to time during the off season. My cousin was however was very adamant that you only wear your teams jersey on that teams game day. She later revised it to during your teams season. What you guys think?

i only wear mine on gamedays however i do have an ND lacross jersey that i like to wear all year

the only problem i see in wearing a jersey in the off season is that it will require you to wash the jersey. As we all know, the more you wash any article of clothing it will deteriorate. So, just from the deterioration point of view, I would limit to amount of times I would wear it based on having to wash/deteriorate.

I usually only will wear my jerseys on game day...now i wear a ND sweatshirt after season, in the winter time..or a shirt here and there..but jerseys...just game day.

The fun part with college is (if you want) you can go from football jersey to basketball & hockey to baseball and any of the others in between (lax, soccer, track, field hockey, vollyball, golf, etc)...Because you love and back your university/college and they have that huge rainbow of teams and sports and you back them in everything

I think it just depends on whether you like wearing football jerseys. I have an ND football jersey that I wear on gamedays sometimes (sometimes I wear another ND-flavored item depending on weather/game watch environment) and usually only on those particular gamedays, just because I don't really feel comfortable in a football jersey most of the time so I only wear it as a show of support for the team. On the other hand I have an ND hockey jersey that is comfortable to wear in sweater weather, so I wear that to show support for the team but also just as a sort of sweatshirt ... like I might wear it to the grocery store or in some context where my intent is not mainly to express support for ND but just to have clothes on. I certainly don't think there is or should be any rule against wearing a jersey out-of-season. That strikes me as a very girlish viewpoint; girls like to have particular festive attire for particular festive occasions. Guys typically don't care about that stuff.

Gameday only...unless you are that wt guy. Only guys I see doing it where i live are wt OSU fans.

I only wear jerseys on game day. I just purchased an Andrew Luck Jersey and have yet to wear it. Just ordered my ND Jersey, but only plan on wearing it during game days. The jerseys are so expensive that I dont want to wash them too often.

I'm a game day guy myself. If you're worried about the expense of jerseys, I'd recommend buying on ebay.

I wear mine whenever I feel like it, Celtic FC, newcastle, Angels, Browns, and of course Tons of Nd jerseys, I think I have six jerseys in total for nd... I wear them whenever I feel like it, maybe a. Couple days a month for any of them... Plus I wear them around the house during games, gets me pumped honestly

So I definitely fall under the first option... Any day, all year
