I don't know... is it Carr or is it that opposing D-Co's are looking at the Irish Offense to shut down what they couldn't last year with Love and Price??

I will say this, I haven't seen 'many' - screen play, bubble pass, cross routes, rb draw, sweep or end-around plays since last year....

At least not as many in the beggining of this year as last year??

Are we (fans) just used to the play of Love and Price and waiting?

Someone suggested it was Carr’s feet last week and I was looking but didn’t notice that today. However it was a thought against Wisky and it was very clear against sparty, they know when it’s a run and often seem to know where it’s going gap wise

Nothing more needs to be said about the defense. It is the best unit in the country.

Running game needs to be better top to bottom. Backs and OL.

Walton needs more touches.

The defense knows the play and yet we are scoring 39 points a game against the Big Ten...only because MFMF isn't a dick or it would be more.

Pros: Defense, Dunham, Young, nice debut by O'Brien, Aneyas had a good game, Carr (other than int)
Cons: Peacock and their streaming service, 3rd quarter

This defense is special. Still want to see more James, Walton, and the young wrs, Premer. We'll need our very best
personnel to win the natty. Great game overall and start to the season.

All 3 are also taking the play-clock to zero with increased frequency in ND games

ND was 91st in plays per game entering today.

That sounds like I'm being sarcastic or dicky but I'm not. Price had that weird bend he would do when he was losing balance and Walton looked just like him when he was tackled.

I disagree. A Purdue player got his hand on the ball and altered the pass. Went right to the Purdue DB. Not Carr's fault.

I believe you're thinking of an earlier play where the defensive lineman tipped the ball and Micah Gilbert had to tackle the DB to force the incompletion. The INT came later and was just a defender CJ didn't see. He was also forcing it to Faison when he also had a tight end open underneath.

Yogi Roth glazing ND all game was refreshing compared to ask of the other broadcasts. Paul B is the man and would love him to be the full time ND broadcaster... Only if we don't get Tirico back, that is.

You'll notice they still found time to talk positively about the other QB Browne but not until the 3rd quarter when the hand was out of hand rather than constantly throughout the 1st half like last week.

I hope ND pays attention and fans give some positive feedback to the crew.

Also - no pulling guards this week on runs. Decided to just go Duo and it was opening up better holes in the running game. I'll let others who know Xs and Os better explain it but I definitely noticed that change this week! Aeneyas did better because he doesn't seem to have as many reads as with the zone runs. Hope we continue to improve every week.

Came here to post this. Something seems off and I have no idea what it is. I think it was the first drive in the 2nd half where Aneyas got met by the backside safety in the hole that got my full attention.
