1. It’s clear how elite this defense is against teams that want to throw the ball.

2. Still questions in the passing game but you have to love our RBs and how fill in players on the line stepped up.

3. Historic performance.

4. Injuries are a major concern moving forward. Prayers up for Bothelo, Craig, and Schrauth.

Assuming ND doesn’t lay eggs NIU style, that offense is good enough to win 10 games, but I have major doubts they could beat USC without incorporating Angeli in some series and obvious passing downs

The ENTIRE team didn't show up last week. If they gave. third of today's performance they win easily.

I truly dislike watching 13 play QB.
I think he should have a part to play but certainly enough reason to think Angeli needs to be in sharing duties with him. Go series for series.

Injury wise, my guess is Botello and Shrauth are done for the year. I think Craig just ended up with a scare?

I haven't seen the replay....but on TV did it look like Rocco was on his ass more than he was standing up? Sure looked like it there

Nice to see them show a pulse this week, and even better for the younger guys to get some burn in the second half and perform. Love and Price are absolutely electric, Mitchell Evans looks like he's getting his sea legs back, and the defense set a physical tone in this game. ND dominated the LOS, and you can win a lot of games doing that.

Kennedy Urlacher looked like a heat seeking missile in garbage time. Nice effort.

Leonard seems like he would have been a better fit for Holtz' veer offense rather than Denbrock's multiple spread game. They can win games like this when they are superior at the LOS, but when it's more competitive there, you need to be able to make plays in the passing game, and it's real suspect as to whether Leonard can do that well enough to make this team championship caliber. Angeli showed the ability to throw the ball down the field, but also showed inexperience in not getting rid of the ball in a timely manner.

Hoping for good news with Schrauth, Craig and Botelho (who has really come on this year). The longer season (assuming making the playoff) will make depth and good health absolutely critical.

Coaching staff needs to work these guys hard in the coming week, and highlight the shortcomings to focus these guys on it being a week to week season. Or, have Leonard's mom send Cameo's to every player this week.

On to Miami-Ohio.

Coogan was okay, absent some poor snaps.

Rocco got worked a couple times by a bad Purdue OL.

I really hope this doesn't turn into a "what if" type year. Defense looked nasty today. Golden must've been a mf'er last week during practice.

Schrauth looked like an ankle not a knee. Hopefully it's just a sprain and he's back in a few weeks. Hard to tell what happened to Craig. Botelho looked bad just based on the reactions. He may be done. Fortunately Traore looks like a beast.

Right, minimum high ankle, but my guess is broken ankle or broken foot. It was already taped so he already had an injury.
