The Amazon Prime episode when this happens is gold. Couldn't help but LOL.

I've always thought it was dumb myself since it became a thing. I would not consider it an option myself, but kids today are just different.

Again, the disconnect is there is Prime and there is Deion. Deion is a red ass coach. There is nothing that screams "players coach" about him at all when you see what Amazon is showing. The perception of him among the majority of the public is wrong.

I was at MODEX this week in Atlanta. Got to see Saban speak. Afterwards, one of the Vendors had an 'Invitation Only' room and I was fortunate to be able to attend yesterday. Then he was leaving and had a few people ask him some football questions. Of all the things Saban had to say - he did mention 'Coach Prime' and said that before Sanders took on the Colorado job, they were doing some bantering before an AFLAC commercial and he said there is one important item he (Sanders) needed to focus on was the leadership and guidance for the kids for life AFTER football. I was never a Saban fan only for the fact of Mich. St. and bama. But as a person/coach - he is straight up. I don't know how far Sanders will take Saban's advice but, I found a new fondness for Saban. Of course, he went on to say that if something is not done soon about NIL and Transfer portal - coaches will be nothing but baby-sitters because it takes more than a year to create men out of HS/College athletes.

I agree - if you were to put Sanders side-by-side with other coaches saying the exact same thing, one (Sanders) would come out an a-hole and everyone else would agree the opposite coach.
