How many of the problems you guys are complaining about got solved during her term?
I don't even know what you're talking about. Were the problems there before she took office? How long have they been there? Are they still there?
As far as McMahon, you know she was a part of Trump's first administration, right? It's not like this is her first rodeo. Your panties are in a real bunch over this one.

Have you studied the history of the world? It's even worse.

You and guys like Michael Moore can shit on our country's past all you want but there is nothing special or unique about the sins of the United States

Do you think Arabs kidnapping millions of sub-saharan Africans, castrating them so they can't contaminate their bloodlines, and forcing them into a life of Slavery to this day is taught in our schools yet? Do you think Nigerian Christians being slaughtered on a daily basis as I type this is being taught?

And let's not even get into where the word 'slave' comes from.
This is the definition of a straw man fallacy. Or for @Giddyup, “shit that doesn’t have anything to do with other shit.” Bluto was talking about the U.S. only. C’mon, man. You’re better than this.

Unfortunately, I have little hope of anything that a Federal or State program does having any substantial impact as it relates to overall educational outcomes

In reality it's a cultural issue primarily related to parenting.

It requires involved parents who hold their kids accountable for their actions.

Years ago if Johnny had a failing grade or got in trouble at school, they were held accountable at home.

Now if Johnny gets a bad grade or gets in trouble at school, too many times the parents solution is to simply raise bloody hell with the teachers and administrators all while badmouthing the teacher at home in front of their kid.

Far too many teachers and administrators respond by making things easier and easier for the kids because they are tired of getting brow beaten every day at school and they don't have to deal with all the crap.

Grades go up, learning and performance goes down.
I have said this so so many times. There are some that will tell you free lunch programs and more government is what these kids need. It’s sad and free lunches are great but damn, you are 100% right.

No one has ever said there are official requirements. There aren't official requirements because no one ever considered the possibility that a president would just start nominating random friends and wives of people he knows. No one considered that a president wouldn't give a shit about trying to find people that are actually qualified to do the jobs he's offering them and intentionally sandbagging his own administration.
She’s a woman, stop being sexist and celebrate diversity. It’s great you can sit here as a man and dictate who gets what job…

Am I doing this right?

Deflecting? Yeah well done.
You should just stick to empty platitudes like “duh kids these days don’t culture well!” and might be able to communicate with them. Offering stats based proof doesn’t really jive with the whole anti intellectualism narrative.

The way the economy is structured in the US puts a lot of road blocks in the way of being a “good” parent and building communities that support family structures.

I find it odd that people want everyone to live like destitute beggars and be “tiger” moms or whatever to allow for some sort of social advancement when there are plenty of examples of compassionate approaches supported by government subsidies that produce desirable outcomes.

Ignorant post. Live within your means. People are so much more worried about independence and being rich or well to do RIGHT NOW.

There is power in community. There is power in family. Parents are so eager to get their college aged kids out of the house and college aged kids are so eager to show the world they made it and move out.

With older adults their pride gets in the way and nobody knows how to ask for help and nobody knows how to give help. Families need to operate like their own business. Kids move out too fast and old people live in their own homes too long. There is no reason we should be throwing kids out and watch them sink and there is no reason we should be watching our parents get old and sink later in life.

90% of your time spent with your own parents is complete by the time you are 18 years old. Family community is lost.

Traditional American families focus on earning and obtaining. Accumulate massive debt and when something happens they become destitute beggars because they don’t have a community and they have isolated themselves so much and have so much pride they can’t and don’t ask for help.

Like ABC said, this culture sucks. Blame yourself for being a destitute beggar not government. We are so disconnected to people outside our four walls and sadly so disconnected to people in our own 4 walls.

Government has made it so so easy to lean on. People have stopped fighting for marriages because it’s so easy to leave and suck government and spouse for benefits and alimony and child support. There is a reason divorce rates are so high and single parent homes are even higher. We are so sexualized and governmentized.

I find myself more relaxed now that this abysmal administration is on the clock to get out. I’m only worried about smoking a turkey or two this week and how much to load up on that usc bet.

Nobody was suggesting being a "Tiger Mom" LOL

Ask your kids about homework, especially big projects.
Check your kids grades regularly and see if they have missing assignments
If they aren't doing their work, punish them.
Don't undermine the teacher by badmouthing them in front of your kid
If your kid gets in trouble at school, punish them at home.

It's really not that hard. Will it make them a genius, NO. Will it make sure they put forth their best effort, most likely.

It's pretty common knowledge that the schools that have engaged parents are more likely to have better outcomes.

Being a good parent is a foreign language to people and it’s sad.

Nobody wants everyone to live like destitute beggars. Having programs in place is fine, but there should be incentives that those receiving assistance work towards their independence

With most schools using technology you can see your kids grades in real time. I get an email when my kid gets 70% or below or has a missing assignment. Being aware is apparently too much for most parents.

Kind of ironic listening to Harris try to engage and inspire others “You have the same ability to engage and inspire”.

Only the third time a two term president never had the majority of voters vote for the man. He's joining great company
The question is, how in the world did the Dem's screw it up? Twice? The only people that Trump could've beat was Biden and then Harris. Brilliant.

The disastrous performance for four years ahead of it clearly didn't have anything to do with it.
Sure you can say that if you want and then apply that same logic to the 2020 election. The disastrous 4 years from 2016-2020 was the reason Trump could defeat Biden. It's definitely more nuanced and not black and white.
