I mean, the video speaks for itself, does it not? She had plenty of time to come up with a good answer during that pause and she delivered a steaming pile of shit as she stumbled over her words. Can you imagine if she was live and got a question like that, or got a question while hosting a foreign leader? She struggled to think on her feet, and she struggled with interviews in general. When she was announced as the new candidate she had to disappear for over a month as they coached her up. She was not prepared to handle that job.

I listened to the whole interview and really nothing that she said was damning or that bad. Which makes you question why they didn't just release this in the first place? I'm assuming they had an agreement beforehand with the Harris campaign that nothing would come out without their explicit review and agreement. I swear, I don't think Kamala is naturally an unlikable person and think she would be fun to get wine drunk with. The DNC machine that she inherited was so accustomed to having to work in the shadows and puppet Biden around to hide who he truly was, and Kamala wasn't confident enough to tell them to shove it and do and say what she wanted.

No, but I think the entire content of discussion should normally be released. The candidates full an unedited response should be publicly available by the media outlet. If you chose not to air the unedited version on TV to cut out filler, that's fine I guess, but not releasing it and refusing to release it when called upon to is sketchy at best.

Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman agreed that his party’s brand has grown "toxic" after years of "shaming and scolding" voters and even questioned if they can turn it around.

While appearing on the "Somebody’s Gotta Win" podcast on Thursday, host and journalist Tara Palmeri asked Fetterman about how even insiders within the Democratic Party acknowledged the damage their image has taken since the 2024 election.

Fetterman reiterated his belief that the party did it to itself by constantly attacking and demeaning their opponents.

"I think their primary currency was shaming and scolding and talking down to people and telling them ‘Hey, I know better than you, or you’re dopes, or you’re a bro, or you’re ignorant or, how can you be this dumb? I can’t imagine it. And then, by the way, they’re fascists. How can you vote for that?’" Fetterman said.

He's exactly right, and I don't see much indication that anyone on the left learned this lesson. They seem to be continuing the same mistake. I'm sure it'll work better next election, though!

The stroke survivor proving once again he's the smartest Democrat in Congress. I think it's going to take more Fettermans getting elected, or it's going to take a lot of Trump screw ups over the next four years before liberals right the ship. The rest are playing by the same set of rules and standards that got them in the hole to begin with.

She fired back "raising taxes" and stumbled all over her words. It's pretty obvious she was not the candidate we needed, and it's no surprise that CBS cut content like that. She wasn't going to win any voters with that answer. That was the Kamala people should have gotten to see, but instead they propped her up and made her look better than she was.

Dude, I don't have to believe anything, the proof is in the video pudding. She was awful! Her public speaking often boiled down to word salads and stumbling responses like that which would have hurt her with voters. You think she was going to win over voters by raising taxes on them for those programs she wanted to implement? CBS did her a favor gutting that interview. That's the point. IMO - next rate move will be up. Last cut was a mistake and I said it at that time. Rates are not high by historical standards - we were just spoiled for the last twenty years. Real estate markets have been showing cracks for over a year. Rental inventory has exploded over the last two years.

You know, it's funny...I noticed a lot of liberal propaganda accounts the last few years were quick to pickup when Cheney went against the grain, quick to highlight her support. Her name came up often. Obviously it would do nothing for liberals, so you would have to think it was a tactic to try and bring Rhino Republican holdouts over. Cheney was very much seen as a traitor to people in the party though, and she got destroyed in her primary as a result.
