You're the one that fired back defending her, you could have let it go. I'm not mad about anything, I'm quite happy the way things happened. I've moved on, it just happened that the full CBS footage just got released and it further underlined that we made the right choice.

Dude, I don't have to believe anything, the proof is in the video pudding. She was awful! Her public speaking often boiled down to word salads and stumbling responses like that which would have hurt her with voters. You think she was going to win over voters by raising taxes on them for those programs she wanted to implement? CBS did her a favor gutting that interview. That's the point. If you want to defend her, be my guest.

IMO - next rate move will be up. Last cut was a mistake and I said it at that time. Rates are not high by historical standards - we were just spoiled for the last twenty years. Real estate markets have been showing cracks for over a year. Rental inventory has exploded over the last two years.

I thought I was going crazy when Biden was telling me inflation was nonexistent but my grocery bill was $200 instead of $150 like it use to be. To be fair though, this is all on Trump now. He's been in office for three weeks. More than enough time to complete an audit and whip inflation.

Harris must have thought if she could get Cheney, she would bring a lot of Republican voters? If so, bad move. Seems anytime someone flips to the other team they get branded as some type of traitor.

You know, it's funny...I noticed a lot of liberal propaganda accounts the last few years were quick to pickup when Cheney went against the grain, quick to highlight her support. Her name came up often. Obviously it would do nothing for liberals, so you would have to think it was a tactic to try and bring Rhino Republican holdouts over. Cheney was very much seen as a traitor to people in the party though, and she got destroyed in her primary as a result.

They were out of time at the point that Biden finally stepped down. Him endorsing her on top of it was the final nail in the coffin.

I don't think they were out of time, they just backed the wrong horse. Kamala didn't perform great, but she made up some ground and performed better than she did in the 2020 Dem primary. I think if they would have done a traditional primary to find Biden's successor they would have had a better result. Just about any candidate probably would have galvanized the party better. It's possible it was an uphill battle regardless considering the assassination attempt made Trump sympathetic to some independent voters and it motivated more of his base to get out and vote for him. The Walz pick didn't help either. I know there were some that weren't fond of taking Shapiro as VP, but he probably could have delivered PA which would have helped the campaign. Walz brought nothing to the table, he was a weak candidate and Minnesota was already locked in blue.

How did she do in the 2020 Dem Primary? She didn't even make it to the Iowa vote... It was abysmal. She only got placed there because of Biden's stupid commitment to a DEI VP. Turned out it was either her, Rice, or that crazy mayor of LA that fit the bill. She couldn't manage a simple interview without fumbling all over the place and that 2020 campaign she made the mistake of being honest about all of her extreme liberal views, which staffers quietly released were replaced my mainstream views in 2024 and the left-wing media just ate it up. Not sure who would have galvanized it better, but anyone outside of the cabinet could have distanced themselves from the completely retarded border policies better than her. Shapiro was the logical VP, but they were afraid of the Hamas caucus, particularly the Michigan chapter, which doesn't accept Jews in the Dem party. Walz was a good choice on paper- midwest white guy who could in theory hit the gaps, except for the fact that his record was far left and he actually sucked at debating. Walz was a swing and a miss, but we shouldn't pretend Pete 0% black support Buttigieg was a viable alternative. That guy is a dud too. I don't think any D was saving that sinking ship after the absolute disaster that was the Biden presidency.

It takes two to tango. With 8 weeks to go or whatever I don’t think many of the big name dems even wanted to enter after Biden endorsed. Obama and Pelosi were pushing for a mini primary behind the scenes but that seemed to disappear after Biden stepped down.

Yes she was better than she was in 2020 but that’s not saying much. Her campaign also made a bunch of terrible decisions like not making JRE a priority. Wasting time trying to play the moderate and woo republicans with appearances with Liz Cheney. Calling off the dogs when they were winning points mocking Trump and calling him and Vance weird. Walz was also a dumb pick. On paper it makes sense to sure up her weak points but then you listen to him talk and he just comes across goofy. Not distancing herself from Biden.

If Biden sticks by his word and never tries to run at all Kamala would have gotten destroyed in a real primary and whoever won would have easily beaten Trump IMO. Instead you get an already unpopular Kamala running on Biden’s record which was at like 35% approval, and that Trump had been bashing for 4 straight years.

This is strange: a conservative promoting American AI and a liberal concerned about what the machines are learning. At least in terms of popular chatbots, American AI is extremely woke and deeply digoted and dishonest in a liberal fashion, both because it's trained on liberal info and because it's given explict commands to be bigoted and dishonest where social issues like race, ethnicity, sex, gender, religion, and politics are concerned.

Ridicule (and more often outright hate) is a huge part of liberal struggles these days. Trump first gained power after Hillary insuated America's traditionalists and blue-collar types were "deplorables." These workers, often union-associated, on the bottom half of the educational and economic spectrum used to be the base of the Democratic Party. Now, if you don't have a PhD in Gender Studies, African-American Studies & Latte Art, the left tells you to fuck right off. I should know. I'm a liberal (or what was previously classified as a liberal) who was told countless times to fuck off despite my old barista skills.
