Officially with Pakistan’s government? No. With a large group of non state actors primarily in the Pashtun region of Pakistan? Yes.Was the US at war with Pakistan when they took out bin laden?
We can dance this dance for days, but fact is the world was a lot quieter when Trump was in office. Hopefully history repeats itself.Officially with Pakistan’s government? No. With a large group of non state actors primarily in the Pashtun region of Pakistan? Yes.
That was an extension of the “war on terror” and it was definitely an act of war.
To make this even more convoluted, Pakistani intelligence services played a significant role in allowing Bin Laden to hide in Pakistan.
No No No. You still don't get it. The Dems have to do undemocratic things to save the Democracy. You are not seeing the nobility in these maneuvers.Dems are being a threat to democracy.
I see. Now the argument has shifted to how “quiet” things were and not “war”. Ok. Generally speaking, there was a bit less large scale global conflict while Trump was president. How much did that have to do with his policies? We can dance this dance for days, but fact is the world was a lot quieter when Trump was in office. Hopefully history repeats itself.
I blew a bunch of ND and Purdue students out of the water when they challenged me and my brother to a contest shot gunning beers the last time I was at ND and tailgating. Lol.I'd slam beers with anyone. Especially the libs
This. I've met several posters at games over the last decade. Guys that appear like real assholes on here or tend to rub people the wrong way are actually pretty cool in real life. Guys that are cool here turn out to be dicks.Funny thing is I’d like to have a beer with most of the regular posters here, despite slight differences in political views. The love of the Irish unites us. Cheers all.

We're all keyboard warriors, because it's about topics we care about. Put us all in a bar with the ND game on and we would probably all get along decently wellThis. Na, just kidding on that last one. Haven't met any assholes yet...still waiting for @ACamp1900 to come up for a game![]()

It should at least help pull the dems back from some of the more bizarre social policy.I just saw that nationally, Trump took 16% of the Black vote, the most in forty years. That's about double the norm and a HUGE inroad into the traditionally Dem voter base. If that trend continues even a little - and it reaches 20-25% - it'll be a long time before the Dems win another presidential election. He also took more than 40% of the Hispanic vote, the most in twenty years. Like him or not, Trump just did a major expansion of the Right's voter base. If he can continue to court those voters and keep his promises to them over the next four years, this will be an enormous shift in power to the Right for ages.
King shitI blew a bunch of ND and Purdue students out of the water when they challenged me and my brother to a contest shot gunning beers the last time I was at ND and tailgating. Lol.
You would think a guy at his age and position wouldn't be so petty. I never understood the whole thing about conceding. Once the votes are in, it's over. No need for the loser, to come out and say, "You win" when the votes demonstrate who won.Dems feel high and mighty because Kamala conceded quickly, but only because it was a thumping. Look at PA Senate, where Schumer won’t let the winner come to Senate orientation because the D won’t concede a race called by everyone.
Argument didn't shift at all and my original point stands. Between 2017 and 2021 China wasn't flexing on Taiwan, Russia wasn't invading Ukraine, and the guys in Iran didn't have the balls to fire missiles at Israel.I see. Now the argument has shifted to how “quiet” things were and not “war”. Ok. Generally speaking, there was a bit less large scale global conflict while Trump was president. I would argue that his policies helped set the table for both the Ukraine War and the current conflict in the Middle East but that’s another topic.
View attachment 3056915Very hard to understand why the Dem’s didn’t try to make this message (things you really like are going to cost way more) front and center of their messaging to young men in this country that Trump overwhelmingly won.
Regardless if it turns out to be true or not, this is the type of message that resonates with people who don’t follow politics all that closely
Horseshoe theory. Apparently the only explanation for losing elections is hacking/rigging. People on far right and far left are so delusional.
The guys in Iran had the balls to fire ballistic missiles directly at US troops stationed in Iraq in January of 2020.Argument didn't shift at all and my original point stands. Between 2017 and 2021 China wasn't flexing on Taiwan, Russia wasn't invading Ukraine, and the guys in Iran didn't have the balls to fire missiles at Israel.
Things were certainly happening all over the planet.Argument didn't shift at all and my original point stands. Between 2017 and 2021 China wasn't flexing on Taiwan, Russia wasn't invading Ukraine, and the guys in Iran didn't have the balls to fire missiles at Israel.
In a 2019 speech, Xi reiterated China’s long-standing proposal for Taiwan: that it be incorporated into the mainland under the formula of “one country, two systems.”
Zelensky pledged to bring the conflict in the Donbas to a close, but his efforts were complicated when he was drawn into a political scandal in the United States. The U.S. Congress had authorized some $400 million in military aid for Ukraine, but U.S. Pres. Donald Trump held up the release of that security assistance. In a phone call with Zelensky on July 25, 2019, Trump implied that the aid would be released only if Zelensky “would do us a favor” by endorsing a pair of unsubstantiated claims about Trump’s political opponents. Zelensky never provided the “quid pro quo” that Trump had requested, and the funds were finally made available in September 2019.
Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus, a military spokesman, told The Associated Press that Israeli officials had been monitoring a plot for several months in which they believed Iran’s Revolutionary Guards’ Al Quds force, in conjunction with allied Shiite militias, had been planning to send explosives-laden attack drones into Israel.
Trump just vowed as a 1st priority completely ending the Dept of Education. I know it's expensive and I know our ratings have dropped since it was established. But what's the argument for the US dept of education? Assume there is a good reason it's existed thus far.
Oh I'm aware of Yuri Bezmenof. But interested in the other side (if any).Centralized indoctrination is pretty important to the commie utopia. Is there a half italics option?
It's helped ensure that every child has access to be educated. Protects disabled children from being discriminated against in educational environments. There's more and a lot that I don't think they should have a hand in, like pell grants and and the federal student loan program.Trump just vowed as a 1st priority completely ending the Dept of Education. They want to steal the Senate seat. Pro-Democracy…You would think a guy at his age and position wouldn't be so petty. I never understood the whole thing about conceding. Once the votes are in, it's over. No need for the loser, to come out and say, "You win" when the votes demonstrate who won.
All of this could have been done via laws to protect, right? Grants and loans could have been handled at an agency level. It's helped ensure that every child has access to be educated. Probably? I was just stating a few of what I feel are positives they do. There's definitely ways to codify the protections. I don't know if that's part of the plans to get rid of the department. I would hope so and hope they're done at the federal level. All of this could have been done via laws to protect, right? Grants and loans could have been handled at an agency level.
