I'm hopeful that Republicans run some ads about Kamala's opinions on Catholics. Back in 2018ish, she all but said a judicial nominee was unqualified to sit on the bench because he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

That could backfire given some of the recent rulings handed down by the court along with some of the statements made by various justices during the confirmation process.

Would be pretty easy to deflect and redirect the conversation to then focus on those decisions and make it all about Roe v Wade and personal freedom.

Here’s why JD is a crappy politician — you can do the *exact same thing* but say it’s “larger tax credits for people with children” and it would be popular / inoffensive.

Instead he phrases it as “more taxes for this group of people.” Easy to attack, gets you no votes.

If I’m remembering correctly the three Trump appointees stated Roe was “settled” law or something along those lines during their confirmations.

One could draw a clear distinction between say Sotomayor (who is Catholic) and the other justices who are Catholic. Make it about extreme positions or issues like abortion and not religion per se.

I would need precise statements. But all law is settled until it isn't. Precedent changes. Cases are overturned. Anytime senators ask nominees about specific cases (to see if they will affirm later challenges) I cringe.

Sotomayor acknowledged Heller in her hearing and sought to overturn it within a year or two. That's how it goes.

I would stick to climate extremism, border failure, equal outcomes ideology, banning fossil fuels, abolishing ICE, banning employer-based healthcare, and forced gun buybacks. None of these are >50% viewpoints. Drive them into the ground between now and November. Just like this.

Speaking of makeup, I saw this guy making rounds yesterday. He's a satirist on Tiktok, but apparently he has people on both sides of the aisle fooled. People on the right calling him Jussie Smollett, people on the left saying "MAGA is violent! etc etc." Sad.

Anyhow, I don’t hate the eyeliner per se. More that I hate emo for the most part I guess.

I’m more partial to the edgier/more rocknroll eyeliner and or makeup crowd like Darkthrone, Twisted Sister, Ny Dolls and Turbonegro.
