Hey guys, my mother has breast cancer and is going into surgery this Friday to remove the cancer and to see how advanced the cancer is. Just wanted to request some prayers if you are religious, or positive thoughts/energy if you are not, that she gets through the procedure and that the cancer is in a stage where it can be fought. Thanks in advance.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer nearly 15 years ago, and (after much treatment and an early detection) has been cancer-free since. Stay strong.

Update for you all. The prayers seemed to work! She came through the surgery with flying colors. Doctor thinks they may have caught it earlier and while she will need chemo, they think she might not need radiation therapy. Still awaiting the definitive results, but thank you all so much for your support!
