Apparently you missed Crawford's blocked kick return? He looked plenty fast on that play.

You also can't be fast when a guy is coming at you full speed when your 10 yards off the line and the coach has you in a zone read defense when it is clear that when 7 is in they are throwing it. Also no safety help on that TD play was awful. Sebastian needs to retire . I noticed 14 way more active on D

Crawford = playmaker. He had some rough spots early, but the INT and the runback were fun to watch. Did Daelin play? Didn't see him. ESB and Sanders also showed some flashes.

People are ripping on Shaun Crawford like he should be a returning senior and a captain. He is a freshman on the football field!!

This is a very young team, do they have potential? Yes.

ND lost a lot on both sides of the ball.

I miss Jaylon.....

He blew nothing with the two QB system. We scored enough offensively to win this game. Zaire didn't play poorly, we struggled to run the ball a lot tonight. Aside from Folston's big run and Kizer's designed draws, Texas was very stingy with the run defense. A lot of our hand offs went no where, and Zaire was asked to hand it off a lot. Kizer certainly played awesome though, and the score reflects that.

This loss is on the defense, and specifically BVG. Can't really hang it on the injuries this time.

I'm sorry but I totally disagree. When he kept putting Zaire in, it really took the offense out of sync. Kizer was the better qb from the start and Zaire didn't have anything to offer. I love Zaire, but Kizer was the clear #1 from the start.

We didn't score enough to win the game. Yes, the defense was deplorable, but Kelly's reluctance to commit to one QB put the team in too much of a hole. You never know, if Kizer is in there for another possession or two, we might get another score. At the very least, he could have kept our defense off the field a little more.

Yeah with DL chasing hi. He looks like he's on one leg versus wrs.

He got down the field in a hurry, regardless of who was chasing him. But none of the DBs looked good in coverage tonight. I agree with that.

I don't think Daelin did but I'm not sure how much of a help he would have been. They were really quick on the release in the passing game. Not much time for a rush to get home

Plenty of things to point to, but I point to three:

1. Kizer having to share the snaps in first half with Zaire

2. No targeting call on the would-have-been Hunter TD

3. Atrocious approach on final series of regulation

Easy to imagine any of those three things going the other way and flipping this game to the win column, even despite a defense and a defensive coordinator that just about never show up when needed.

I had no preference at qb before tonight. Now I think it's the Kizer show. Malik looked ..,. Not good. If only we had stuck to one.

BVG needs to fix this shit fast.our secondary is going to wreck my blood pressure.

Loved the O-line play. Minus the poor snap timing. That might have been noise.

Defensive penalties were bad.

We need more depth something terrible at WR and the secondary.

Targeting call would have been correct and a game changer.

I thought I'd see more from Tillery.

Defense needs tackle drills.like lots....

That is all true, but it is unfair to the offense to basically need them to score a TD every drive in order to win. 37 in regulation should be enough to win, bottom line.

WRs looked terrible without Hunter. Need him back for MSU.

Safety play is terrible and our CBs looked slow. Luckily we don't play many teams that go up-tempo like Texas or who can sling it.

Kizer is clearly the man at QB going forward, but damn they really didn't do Zaire any favors with the playcalling on his drives.

We had a formation with 2 TEs and Claypool/Boykin in to block. I'm going to lose it if these two coming in together is our 2013 version of Onwualu and Daniel Smith coming in just to block.

Very true, but when you know coming in your D is likely to be swiss cheese, you knew you had to score every possession.

Sorry Kmoose, I merged them, but Phork had the timestamp.

Doing it differently requires mastery that I do not yet know of.

Offense

-Kizer is superman.
-Folston and Adams looked very solid and have their unique strengths.
-St Brown isnt Fuller yet but showed some good promise. Needs to step up under pressure.
-O-line was good but not even close to living up to their hype. Sloppy mistakes at key times.

Defense

-Actually played solid in the second half once Texas slowed down their offense.
-Zero pass rush, but we all knew that going in. Where was Hayes?
-Morgan and Onwalu played like studs. All over the place.
-D-line was at least supposed to be good against the run and wasn't for most of the game.
-Crawford played good once settled in and showed glimpses of playmaking ability.
-Rest of the secondary had a night to forget.
-Safety position should be renamed to Anxiety on our defense. Maybe Zaire can move to defense (only half kidding)? Can Onwalu move to Safety? Coney? Brent?
-I miss Diaco

Overall

-This team ain't done making noise yet.
-Should be able to make a run and I am not counting out a Kizer lead ND team against anyone.
-Good luck to the Longhorns the rest of the year. Strong looks like he finally has his team. Good for him. Their defense had a solid showing and that was a much improved team across the board.

Jeebus... We're still talking about making noise?? This fan base needs to get it through their heads... We just gave up fifty plus to an unranked team... Jeebus. You'd think we'd collectively wake dafaq up at some point....

I want to hear the explanation for the replay refs for the no targeting call on Hunter.

I also want an explanation from Kelly on why he didn't complain to the refs about the no call on the targeting.
