It seemed like Rees forgot about Eifert in the 2nd half.

It was Game Planned. Lull the BYU DBs into ignoring the rest of the receivers. Worked perfectly for Rees's only completion of the game after his opening 6 for 7 hot streak.

*The running game was very impressive running between the tackles today. Very glad to see that.

*The defense made some good adjustments at the half and play alot better the second half.

*TJ is really making some big time catches.

*I wish we could get Neal a good amount of room to return a punt.

*It wasn't pretty but they got the job done and got a huge W.

I too, have been a bit harsh on Theo.
He deserves some serious accolades today.
He ran hard and had some spectacular cuts.

It was a trap game.
Not in the traditional sense.
I believe the players and coaches that said they were ready for BYU and not overlooking them.
It's just almost impossible not to have an emotional letdown after a game like last week.

No complaints from me.
A win is a win.

I have an uncle with down syndrome, but reasoning with someone that responds in this manner would obviously waste time. I would only say that you are more than likely the delusional fan I speak of. Maybe you can explain to me how besides our running game what was working offensively that would suggest we performed at a level that would compete with anybody in the top 20? Either Rees sucks, our play calling sucks or both. But you’re the less mentally challenged so I'm sure you got it on lock.

The goal is perfection to compete in an NC. Do you feel the head coach(Not Diaco) did everything right on the field? Some people don't want to talk about it. I get that, but don't tell other people they can't.

Here is what I saw:

The team in general is special. No denying that. There is something about the team that you can feel when you watch them play. They are a unit, they are 1. They have truly bought into that.

Coaching is the 100% reason we are 7-0. We aren't the most talented team in the country. We are working our way there but we aren't there yet.

Are we going to lose next Saturday?

It's a test...have we had a test yet? No? So are we back?
In my opinion we never left but we are here and we aren't going anywhere.

All I know is this, I can't wait for next Saturday!!

The Good

-The D keeps bringing it, week in and week out. Great second hal adjustments
-O-line has turned a corner and are playing great the last few weeks.
-Theo Riddick/Cierre Wood, both had 100 yard games. Where did Riddick come from?
- TJ Jones and Eifert both made big catches

The Bad

-Kavarae Russell struggled early against the run but picked it up
-Davaris Daniels, WTF Man?!?!?!?
-Tommy Rees, I think we can all agree he is best in relief

The Ugly

-Special Teams, that was ugly

Can't remember the exact website but I am sure if you go to MSN homepage tomorrow you may be able to find his opinion. He has taken a couple of questionable calls from Saturdays and dissected them. This may be a call he will look at.

1. 7-0 feels good, no matter how you get there.

2. Theo Riddick called: He wanted to say a few words to those who wondered why he was getting carries, after the Miami game: "Suck it, suckas!!!"

3. Everett Golson is the starter, if he is healthy. In the meantime, the hate for Rees should stop right here. He's not great, he's barely above average, but he does NOT "suck", he ISN'T "terrible", and he embodies everything that Notre Dame stands for.

4. Brian Kelly is not an idiot; his playcalling does not suck, and he is a very capable head coach at the D-IA level. Those of you who can't see that should really just be silent....

5. I mentioned it a few weeks ago, and will bring it up again; this team is good, but probably not as good as we would like to think. They can be had. But let's hope that divine providence remains in our corner, in this truly magical season.

2) Theo is a good DI back. But he does NOT exhibit the vision cierre does. He makes the first guy miss...he drops a shoulder this year...he is a leader this year when you need a play...no question. I'd still like to see more Cierre.

3) Yup. Tommy is great for a series or two...then folks lock in. as well I don't think he does well when a team knows he's starting. In short Kelly's use of Tommy this year = masterfull.
