If someone could find me a picture of the team running out of the tunnel with all the smoke, I'd greatly appreciate it

Where the hell is the upset thread, I can't find it anywhere??...

Anyway, dude, Texas last night, at home. That's surprising, BYU is good and all, but 41-7????

Best complete game by ND since the Oklahoma game in Norman in 2012. Really liked the play of frosh Hill.

Redfield's hit was perplexing. I watched the game alone, at home, with no distractions. I'm not sure how it was roughing the passer...as possession had already changed. Mayock mentioned it was illegal because Redfield was BEHIND Gardner. That was a head scratcher too. A player can only block a QB on a return then, if he's in FRONT of him? That would most likely be an illegal block/block in the back then.

Riggs is a stud, Dline looks good, punt return game is way improved.
When will the academic investigation conclude...before the end of the semester?

That hit was worth it because Gardner will still be scraping sh*t out of his pants for the rest of the season. Way to leave your starters in, Hoke.

He hit him in the shoulder pads. They may have called it wrong, but it wasn't legal

It was legal by those rule. Anything above the shoulders, he hit him at the shoulders. If he would've put a shoulder or helmet into Gardner's helmet, it would've been illegal. If he would've made the hit with Gardner standing still, it would've been illegal. Gardner was moving towards the play, he was allowed to be blocked and the block was legal.

It was a bad call.

Also, this was justice for the hit on Trumbetti(helmet to helmet mind you) and Golson. Max took care of his own properly. Bravo son.

Honestly, I don't care that it was a penalty. I would prefer it that way than if it wouldn't have happened and we scored a TD.

It was one of those boss moves that a team does when they are completely demoralizing an opponent. That one final play embodied the entire night for Michigan. Completely humiliated on ever level by a significantly better football team.

Yesterday was the best. I puked in my yard at about midnight and fell asleep on the floor. My wife wasn't even mad.

To be fair having your QB being obliterated after throwing a pick with no time left on the clock in a 31-0 loss is demoralizing and adding injury to insult as well.

The pick 6 happened. It doesn't show up in the box score, but I saw it happen, I went nuts, I lost my voice, and the score to me will always be 37-0.

Howard is a tool. No way he, Corso, or the rest of them will own up to the fact Notre a Dame put Michigan in its rightful place for good.

If you re-watch the game you see how incredibly both our offensive and defensive line dominated the game. If the game had been called correctly, there could have been a holding penalty on almost every Michigan snap. I don't mean picky calls, I mean flagrant holding, and usually more than one on a play.

Freshman are awesome! This was a steal of a class. Tranquil, Hill, in particular are phenomenal; there is little precedence for freshman coming in and playing like that!

BVG and his defense have answered all my questions, and confirmed my hypotheses; defense held us back from beating Michigan. And his passion is a big part of the difference in the attitude of this team. His passion compared to Mattison on the other sideline? Mattison looked like he ate a big turd every time they showed him!

Trumbetti got targeted and a ref was right on it and did not make the call.

Everybody owes Mathias Farley a huge apology. With as rude and classless, (and wrong) as some of you were, oral sex wouldn't even make it up. Not even if you hired someone that looked like Kate Upton.

This team is going places. The next few recruiting classes are going to be off the hook!

Loy was visibly upset with every admission he made, because he started with Henry and Coney. He is livid that they are going to leave Florida period. And he sees Jamabo and Jones committing, which gives ND the keys to the Testarossa, so to speak!

And watching the game was the booby prize; seeing the action at all of your house would have been the real prize!

By the way, I was at the bakery this morning and every one was talking Golson this, and Golson that. I had a nice time taking about the game with the bakers. They cracked up when I filled my order. I bought a dozen apple turnovers for each of my friends that were Michigan fans.

Oh yeah, and point, match, game to UND! With the scheduling OSU, and decisive victory in the game, boosting our winning percentage oh so slightly, don't look now, but Michigan just got demoted to a regional football school!

Finally, any team in the Bigot10 conference, cannot generate the wins in conference to offset the hit that the conference took this week alone!

Normally I like to be a little "noble" about such things, BUT to my eyes Gardner was moving to the playing area as if he was going to be a defender --- NOT bailing out as a "vulnerable QB" --- and a football player MUST be allowed to block anyone in that circumstance. "Behind Schmeehind", Redfield delivered a legitimate block under any normal circumstance.

We won the damm game 37[38]-0 and Shumate got a pick-6. Let others believe what they will.

... and regardless, that whole situation had to send recruits' hearts through the roof.

A gif of that Redfield hit on Gardner would be the best gif ever. Who here can make them? 10 billion vbucks to the first one...

Got one off the internet :).

Mgoblog was yummy, they're so convinced it was a dirty cheap shot.... Maybe if your dumbass coach didnt have your starters in during the final minute of a 31-0 beat down??? Many were convinced the refs somehow blew the game,... Lololol

Shumate's a ballplayer. So's KVR when he's playing. All I'm saying is we don't have pass rushers the caliber of Tuitt and Shembo right now. Day's a warrior, he's just not the sort to take over a game. Others may develop. THat said, right now, we've got enough guys to rush in there as a group to contain a QB like Gardner, and force him into mistakes. Go us.

Day was disrutpive all game wtf..

It was very legal.

Dude... what?

"The quarterback can still be blocked during a return, but any hit above the shoulders on a quarterback will result in that defender not only being flagged but ejected."

So this rule clearly wasn't what was in effect, because what they called was roughing the passer and the player was NOT ejected. And he wasn't hit high, he was blocked with two hands in his chest.

100% legal because it was a normal block on a return. If Redfield doesn't make that block, Gardner actually has the angle to tackle Shumate.

Exactly.

I think the refs got the call right, if only because it made the Michigan players come back out on the field for one last bit of humiliation!

Delicious.
