We need to expand this playbook, use more 21 personnel, which we finally did a couple times this game, and use these backs more. We also need to figure out how to apply more pressure.

Wasn't able to see the game. Love what you guys are saying about how the team played. Any rewatch anywhere? Peacock maybe?

Biggest issue from the 50 was the Nickel getting picked on, on in breaking routes.

I get that we adjusted and Watts jumped 2, and DJ Brown jumped that last one perfectly (great anticipation there).

Brennan being late and throwing those kinda blind helped.

Harper felt like a liability.

I’ll need a rewatch tho.

That was the first, and last, time I ever schedule a flight during a game. Not being able to check the score was torture. I’ll watch the full game Monday

What airline? No live TV on the flight?

Weathered thr storm

Way to many penalties on defense

I Liked the defense interceptions and batted passes

Love to Spider 2 Y banana to our te

Offensive line looked shaky first quarter and then settled down. And we took at advantage of their over aggressive defense

Sam with 4 tds
Rizzo said it best.
Weathered the storm

my biggest concern is D line. didnt see much from Botelho. And Mills just engages his man every time. Its shocking that he seems to have no moves. The Baptiste hasnt flashed either. Kinda concerning overall.
Yeah, D Line is probably our weak position right now, and they're not completely awful at least.

What a wild game, yet it never felt like we could lose. This is a really good team
I thought it looked sketchy when ND basically moved the NCST offense down the field on 3 huge penalties & they cashed in. The missed FG by the Pack kicker was the perfect omen of what was to come.

Same and I noticed that too. Just a push, with no real effort to make a play...maybe that was the plan to stay home as their QB had wheels, but it felt weird. But as a Steeler fan, I expect everyone to fly off the edge like Watt and thats not realistic, if it was he wouldn't be the best defensive guy on the planet.. But I def would have loved to see more fight from 12 to get to the QB.

and getting caught by drew "white".
Yes, the one that did not hit him in stride so made him have to adjust to accelerate after the catch. Not to mention the *Drew White* LB that was running at him full speed from the time the ball was thrown runs a *supposed 4.5 40*.

How about Tobias getting a couple of catches, including the long one. More of that, please.
I was happy for him and appreciate him excelling in blocking down field & being a great teammate for his fellow WR in the 1st two games.

Sucks his 2nd catch got nullified by the offensive PI.

Wasn’t Tobias a nationally recognized sprinter in HS? Still can’t believe their LB caught him from behind on that great catch & run.

There's a lot to nitpick with this performance, but I'm not gonna do it. We played our worst game of the season on the road with some terrible officiating, and still put up 45 points with a 3 touchdown lead that shattered the spread. The sky is the limit for this team in my opinoin.

Where can I get Freeman's pullover with the helmet on it. That thing looked nice.

Refs gifted them 10 pts, persevered and won by 20+ over a team that will probably win at least 8 games.

Gave us a nice challenge, learned some lessons, good for the team to face some adversity and succeed will help on later games against tougher opponents.

The early start and weather delay made this game "harder" than it should have been. NCST is/was a good test. On the road and some adversity ND handled it pretty well. Penalties and lack of sacks are the two big concerns.

+ Holden Staes.
+ Offensive line was much better after halftime.
+ We tackled pretty well.
+ ACC Refs gave up when they realized they couldn’t be the difference in the game.
+ 3-0.
+ Al Golden can’t help but send pressure from places that’ll never get home.
+ Our kicker kicked a record long field goal?
This is becoming a recurring issue that needs to be addressed. Looked like Coach had enough of the BS near the end of the 1st half. Always thought PAC 12 refs were bad, but ACC is ridiculous.

Thought the Dline was fundamentally sound and disciplined. MF said at the halftime interview he wanted to respect lanes to not cut Armstrong free.
I thought Sam settled in despite some not great conditions. He looked a little slow to make decisions early on, but threw well in the 2nd half.
A bit of confusion along the Oline at times, but tightened it up. This team will grind you down. As long as we keep games close early, the size and strength will grind on anyone. Our stable of backs is deep.
We worked the body early then took the deeper shots and guys were open. I like the commitment to the game plan.

I didn’t like how long we take to punt.
Evans was as out after he killed two drives with his flat out drops. Staes gonna be #1 TE soon. Better not see anymore or that rest of the season from Evans. Didn’t like much of our 3rd down and short play calls. Should have had 5 ints not 3.
Much of our penalties were very contrived.

My main takeaway from this game is that our offense is good enough that we can really screw up and make a lot of drive-killing mistakes and still score 40+ points on a good defense on the road in bad weather… which is crazy. We haven’t been able to do that in a long time. We generate explosive plays because we have some very talented RBs coupled with a QB that maximizes a lot of opportunities.

On defense, deepest group of DBs I can remember. The biggest question mark for me is generating pass rush from the front 4. I don’t see it, but I thought they did well as run defenders today.

And how about this new kicker? Holy shit does he have a leg!
