This is the sort of distorted presentation of stuff that causes problems. Yeah, right. The cops arrested a guy just for trying to get to the golf course. What actually happened is that the police had an area closed due to a pedestrian having been killed there shortly before by a bus. The police had some of the lanes closed and were redirecting traffic while they did their investigation of the bus accident. Scheffler attempted to drive around the closure into the golf course entrance. An officer tried to stop him, then grabbed his car (probably around the window or door), and Scheffler then drove on about 30 feet, dragging the officer who was yelling at him to stop. When he finally did, he was asked to get out of the car and arrested. Sheffler claims it was a simple misunderstanding of what the officer was telling him to do, while the police believe he was clearly disregarding their instructions and taking an "I'm a big shot in a hurry and can ignore you" approach.
