He had Miami, not Oregon. But otherwise yeah.

ND, Washington and Oregon were the three he most considered adding but didn’t. I think he said Michigan was the last team to make the cut.

Michigan can't even win its own conference division let alone get into the CFP.

If scUM could ever manage to get to The Game 11-0 and lose a close one, the committee would likely jump all over the opportunity to debate 11-1 scUM getting in.

And that would drive me *ucking insane.

Oh remember last year when people were saying they should get in - a few even arguing they should get in over Notre Dame - if they beat Ohio State? Which of course they didn't.

OTOH, Michigan has never even played in the Big Ten Championship Game, which is kind of crazy and my favorite Michigan Fact.

Their history is steeped in being overrated. I just wish we didn't contribute to that narrative so profoundly on October 26.

I have no idea if PJ Fleck would be successful there. TBH I hope he doesn't go there, but I'm not a PJ Fleck to ND guy personally. I'd take Rhule over Fleck

I would too but I think Rhule has eyes on the NFL at some point soon. And I am not a PJ to ND fan either. He hasn't proven himself at big boy football yet.

since the creation of the BIG Ten Championship game - Wisconsin leads all teams with appearances at 6. OSU 5, MSU 3, 4 teams tied with 1.

OSU has 3 wins, Wisc 3, and one will add another.

Minnesota - zero appearances

T Town I think Rhule is in the NFL this off-season. Possibly NYG. He would have been the Jets head coach this year if not for some front office stuff.

Someone needs to get on the horn with Flecks people and tell them that the ND job is his when Kelly goes.

They beat an overrated Auburn team that got to much credit for beating Bama. That loss was #4 for Auburn. Don't get me wrong. Happy the Gophers won, but with three losses, Auburn should never have been ranked #9.

They got bigger, stronger, faster in next to no time. They didn’t just “find a way” to beat a pretty darn good SEC team, they took it to them physically and emotionally. I’m not necessarily disagreeing with your point that Auburn may have had an inflated ranking, but Minnesota looked like the better team-physically, in preparation, and in coaching. Hats off to Coach Fleck.

Honestly not sure how overrated they are. Lost to three pretty good teams (LSU/FL/UGA, two on the road) by on average less than 7. Also beat Oregon who just beat Wiscy (who beat MN), and Bama who just beat scUM. They had to have one of the toughest scheduled in CFB. IMO, huge win for Fleck.

UGA and FL are way over rated IMO

Bama and UGA are still top 8 teams. FL is very solid. They just beat a team on a neutral field that we beat at home. Not saying FL is top 5, but they are absolutely top 10-15. The are quietly improving every year. Only losses are to UGA and LSU.

I've watched enough football this year to know that LSU, Clemson, Ohio State, and Bama w/ Tua are on a completely different tier than the rest of CFB.

ND is comparable with Georgia, Florida, Oregon, etc. ND is better than Baylor, Utah, etc. by a reasonable margin. People are down on ND because of one game, while forgetting that crazy one offs happen all the time to teams much better than ND. It's not dissimilar to when 2017 ND destroyed eventual PAC12 champ USC by 35 points by playing a near perfect game, or when an elite Ohio State team somehow lost by 4 TDs on the road to Purdue last year.

People LOOOOOOOVE to look the other way on this one. This had WAY more egg-on-face than what happened in Ann Arbor this year.

Minnesota/Fleck played really well this year. I'm curious to see if it's a one off or sustainable. They win like this next year and Fleck moves on. The money will be too good.
