Thank you, BGIF, for shining light when others don't even read.
To support our main man: it is amazing that some long time sports followers do not realize that Las Vegas is not into the sports analysis business but the "how do we set odds which will split the gamblers?" business. Their odds therefore are always part actual team quality and part fan fanaticism. BGIF is correct again to note that once again Las Vegas believes that ND gamblers are pretty delusional. It is one thing to have hopefulness; it is another to throw money at as yet unsupported hope.
AND, Phil Steele overrates us yes; at least he scratches his head and admits it every year. What he does [typically] is rate us as a great or near great team, when, in fact, we turn out to be "merely" a good team. 8-5 vs a very respectable schedule is a GOOD team --- shove the hating on that where the Sun don't shine.
