First ever USA gold in men's Curling!

Hopefully the police greased the poles in Duluth, things are about to get crazy there.

Good day to be an American. So happy for those men and the amount of hard work and diligence they had. No one would have believed they would win it all. Proved everyone wrong. I'll be interested if this has any effect on the level of interest for curling in the future. Obviously it's not getting ESPN time, but I could see a good number of people becoming invested before the next olympics.

They need to get Johnny Wier off the broadcasts moving forward... he’s like a sick hybrid of Cher, Chaka Chan and Elton John going for sheer shock value... and most of all he isn’t any good on the mic... please move on from him

A single curling rock is something like $500. It's not going to get big any time ever.

Do people bring their own rocks to play with? Seems like something the facility you'd be curling at would provide.

quite possibly the worst Winter Olympics that I can remember...

I kind of feel this way too... the hockey is really what drives me and the NHL kind of ruined it. Also, I don't remember the figure skating going all for all two weeks like this, has it always been that way to where the figure skating went the entire time??? I like the singles competition but that's like one/two days and that's really all I need from that. It seemed like for the entire two weeks if I wanted, hockey, curling, bobsledding whatever, figure skating was one more often than not. Someone seriously has to have a come to Jesus moment with Wier too... we get it, you're into statement making fashion design and such... but this is the Olympics dude, not Zoolander.

Agreed. It was hard to find the sports that I enjoy watching every four years. I had more luck finding things of interest in the morning than I did at night. Pretty disappointing.

This...
Bobsled, luge, skeleton, traditional skiing events (downhill, slalom, ski jumping) were never on when I tuned in. I didn't chase it around the dial to all the channels so could be my fault, but those used to be some of the main focus. It seemed mostly ice dancing and X-games stuff with the occasional more traditional stuff showing up for an American and then cutting away

Skating has always been on for the length of the Olympics broadcast as far back as I can remember. As soon as it comes on, I move on, but I get it, there are a lot of people who enjoy it. Now if they were to put some obstacles on the ice like they do for dogs and they had to maneuver through, over and under them, I would probably watch.

NHL will probably allow the players back into the Olympics for 2022 since they are trying to break into the Chinese market

Anyone see Tonya Harding on Ellen today? Has the world forgiven her? Pete Rose needs a movie like the Gambler.. Maybe he'll get into the Hall of Fame.

Just saw this on Twitter and found it fascinating. Definitely worth a read. It sounds like Jesse Owens did, in fact; honor his friend & formal rival’s last wish.
