So do I. I have group chats with some of my friends about the curling action!

I love bars with shuffle board tables and it just reminds me of a huge version of that. The only sport I watch the US Olympic qualifying for was curling, that brother sister team had to make up some ground to win their spot. It was pretty exciting.

Yep, it's predictable too... I knew it was coming when I first saw it. There was a German skier who won gold and put the flag completely on the ground to take off her skies, I cringed...

I checked Twitter as soon as I saw White do that, knew it would be all over. The flag code is pretty extensive and I’d say most people are ignorant of all the rules. I personally base most of that stuff on intent. Pretty sure he had no intention of disrespecting the flag.

Figure skating is my least favorite. I've watched enough over the years with Dick Button commenting and never understood the hype.

Anyone see the interview with Shaun White and see that wipe out? Ouch. You do need a large pair to come back from that and perform at the level he does.

First OPENLY gay athlete. Many of those that were gay athletes in the Olympics did not come out openly before they participated, but came out after (Some like Johnny Weir everyone knew were gay, but didn't come out until after too).

I hate that the NHL has ruined Olympic hockey. I also don't understand why the NHL cannot/will not send players but the Russian league is free to thus causing our young kids to have to go up against a team of professionals and veterans. Either return it to amateurs only or let the NHL players play again.

Agree...the longer I watch the madder I get. But we do have The Miracle on Ice to remember.

It sucks, Russia gets a double whammy too because not only are they lucky to even have a team here but it's like the only team filled with stars....

I like the Olympics because they usually (few exceptions) represent a time when politics get put on the back-burner with the world coming together with national pride on the line. She throws that grenade prior to the event and expects no back-lash? The country is obviously divided these days and very sensitive. I didn't like her comments on a variety of levels but I still wanted for her to win badly. Disappointing that people attacked her on twitter...but not surprising.

Her and Rippon have been entirely obnoxious. At least she shut up once the games started, I'll give her that (and she is a legit legend in her sport) but Rippon is just an annoying flash in the pan (maybe not, I don't follow figure skating well enough to say lol).
