No way L'Ville is on par with Duke. We just escaped Duke in what was their program's Super Bowl, at night and on the road. That Duke D is legit, especially with only 3 healthy WRs, and Elko is a much better coach than Brohm.
L'Ville was a pretty loud game environment in 2019 to start. But that also kicked off the Saterfield regime, so there was some buzz surrounding that. When ND took over in the 3rd quarter it got quiet really quick.
Nothing daunting with this task. We should have Greathouse back, Raridon might get some burn, and Parker needs to be quicker to make adjustments. I'm not sure why we didn't see much of Price or Love, but that needs to change, especially considering it worked pretty damn well in the late 3rd/early 4th quarters against OSU, setting up Estime for success late in that game.
ND's staff just needs to get out of its own way. I get that the night games are frustrating, I get we are battling injuries, but that doesn't explain the countless penalties and the lack of execution, particularly in the running game. This game doesn't have to be close Saturday night.
Look at L'Ville's schedule. Outside of Murray State and Boston College, they've struggled against pretty poor competition. They let GT hang around in a nail biter week one, the same GT that just got boat raced at home by BGSU. Even in a blowout, they gave up 28 against BC, and they barely escaped NCSt, who we beat rather soundly.
Bring em on.
