Respectfully disagree. NC State and Louisville about the same, I could agree with. Duke is tough. Elko is a heck of a coach. I would not be shocked at all to see them knock off Florida State and win the ACC.
Hopefully we didn't hurt Leonard too bad.

So Louisville’s D is as good as NCST D? I don’t like the sound of that. ND pulled away in the 2H but that game was close until then. It also helped that the Brennan Armstrong from 2021 has never reappeared. Plummer can hoist it down field better than both Armstrong & Leonard. I’m more curious about their D & their run game. Brohm is a better coach than the chucklehead from NCST

Why do we think that? Because NC State only scored 10? NC State's offense looked pretty miserable in our game.

On balance they feel like comparable teams but Louisville better on offense and NC State better at D. Either way, this feels like another game where we could lose if we don't take care of our business but should win if we do.

I was impressed with the bits and pieces I saw of UL on both sides of the ball. Their offense looks like one of those Pac 12 mid tier teams who you don't take seriously, then show up and ball out by spreading the ball around.

But I think ND wins easier than Duke.

Concur. Very sparse parking around the stadium, they usually suggest parking and tailgating in the Louisville Exposition Center which is a good 30-40 minute walk from the stadium. Then there's only 2 gates to let people into the stadium, so you're standing around for 30 minutes waiting to get in.

Unless they did a major overhaul, that stadium sucks.
Thanks for the info as we’ll be heading to Louisville on Thursday, with bourbon tasting on Friday, and the game on Saturday.

No way L'Ville is on par with Duke. We just escaped Duke in what was their program's Super Bowl, at night and on the road. That Duke D is legit, especially with only 3 healthy WRs, and Elko is a much better coach than Brohm.

L'Ville was a pretty loud game environment in 2019 to start. But that also kicked off the Saterfield regime, so there was some buzz surrounding that. When ND took over in the 3rd quarter it got quiet really quick.

Nothing daunting with this task. We should have Greathouse back, Raridon might get some burn, and Parker needs to be quicker to make adjustments. I'm not sure why we didn't see much of Price or Love, but that needs to change, especially considering it worked pretty damn well in the late 3rd/early 4th quarters against OSU, setting up Estime for success late in that game.

ND's staff just needs to get out of its own way. I get that the night games are frustrating, I get we are battling injuries, but that doesn't explain the countless penalties and the lack of execution, particularly in the running game. This game doesn't have to be close Saturday night.

Look at L'Ville's schedule. Outside of Murray State and Boston College, they've struggled against pretty poor competition. They let GT hang around in a nail biter week one, the same GT that just got boat raced at home by BGSU. Even in a blowout, they gave up 28 against BC, and they barely escaped NCSt, who we beat rather soundly.

Bring em on.

Thomas and Greathouse expected to be ready to go Saturday. I think their absence has been lost in some of the hair-pulling over the offense's performance against Duke. Tobias looked disinterested, but they didn't have many options to go to as an alternative. Hopefully it makes things a bit easier on the outside and even opens up some room for Evans and Staes.

I know I defended him plenty early and often, but despite him only being a true soph., I'm really beginning to have my doubts.

Maybe he'll have a Maurice Stovall-esque career resurgence as an upper-classman. I'm aware they are completely different style of WRs, but Stovall had major drop issues early in his career before he became a force and was drafted in the 3rd round.

Excited to see, if they're both back then there will be no excuses, as team will be very healthy (relatively speaking for 7th game in a row)

BC, GT and IU all had their way with Louisville's defense. BC and GT both lost to MAC schools last month.

I know there are some injuries in the WR corp, but you still can't stack the box for Audric with Sam Hartman back there. This defense is nowhere near as good as Duke or Ohio State.

I absolutely love that city. Been several times. Not in the cards for me this year, unfortunately, but highly recomend.

Their fans are kind of assholes, though. They get in your face early and then get pissed at you for cheering on your team later on when the game is well in hand.

Their stadium is okay...they sell beer, so they have that going for them!

Their defense isn't good we should have no problem putting up 35, and NC State held them to 14 we are better than NC State. I'm predicting 35-17

Interesting that Botelho is listed as the starter.

IU had their way? they scored 14 points. And BC was down by 40 something before they started to score. Garbage time.

OTOH watching the NC St game it seemed to me NC St stunk rather that Louisville was good. Armstrong was bad enough to apparently get benched for their next game.

But the lumping of Louisville and Duke into the same bucket is ignoring the fact that Duke beat Clemson and L'ville hasn't beaten any one.

They gave up a ton of yards in all of those games, especially in the air and their rush defense right now is average at best. They're about ready to really get exposed.

Without taking Duke, NC State or anyone else into account I like ND's chances against the UL defense. Especially if a couple WR are back healthy.

Comparing stats, they look fairly comparable until you take into account the SOS difference between ND and Louisville ....

Louisville is a fun town. Parts are kind of scuzzy, but Bardstown Rd. is fun (Holy Grale and Neat Bourbon are my go-tos). They've got some good food, breweries, distilleries, and museums. I liked Cherokee Park as well. Plenty enough to enjoy for a game weekend.

That said, I hate the school and the fans. I hate their trashy uniforms and their old English L logo - looks like graffiti. Unlike a lot of UK fans, UL fans are trashy and more in your face. Lots of chin strap beards, tattoos, chains, etc.

I believe they were doing some renovations on their stadium, but I saw it pre-Covid and thought it kind of sucked.
