I watched them last night a bit and against GT. Plummer stinks which is nothing we didn't already know, and overall their defense isn't that great, especially undersized on the defensive line (their DTs are 290 and 270, DEs are 270 and 240). But Jamari Thrash at WR is one of the most electric players in CFB. He's the sole reason this game makes me nervous other than it being a lookahead spot before USC.

Louisville should be 3-0 after next week as they play the Indiana Loosiers at home! Then their schedule stiffens up ... BC, then @ NC St. (Thur.) and then Here Come the Irish!

They beat an FCS school last night. Didn't watch a single down.
I was it was 28-0 near halftime and yeah, my undivided attention was on TNF. As you said in another thread, it was a weird game but very entertaining.

I'm sure TNF being a weekly mainstay now has really overshadowed an already meager audience for ESPN on Thursdays for the college game.

Dumb. This team is going to be limping into USC. Back to back road night games against undefeateds.
Totally agree. 8 weeks before a bye isn’t setting the team up for success. Especially when 4 of those are on the road. 4 straight night games.

Make sure you see the clip or watch the PC, early on a reporter asks Freeman about Night games since Louisville was announced as a night game. Freeman did not know it was a night game and he was frichan pissed. He regrouped, but it's clear as day he's pissed they have 4 night games in a row, 2 on the road in a row.

Jack, the ultimate scheduler! Frichan terrible AD. Yes, he doesn't decide all of the game times, but he's a major influencer. And he did approve this being our 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th game in a row before a bye.

That fact that it caught him off guard is not going to go well with someone.

i hate night games then to have four in a row, what the hell.
I'll never forget that Saturday night smackdown by Miami back in Nov '17 -- BK did not have them prepared to play and 'canes ran roughshod over The Irish... Just ugly

So why are night games any harder than day games?
Seems to me the problem is the bye is too late, not what time the games are.
There was a lot of fretting here about the NC St being a noon game. Doesn’t really matter does it?

What is the problem with night games? For the players? They get home later?

Away night games you lose a day of school/recovery/practice.

A 230pm game at Lousiville, you're back home at ND by 11pm. 7pm game, Sunday at noon. Give or take.

it ruins your sunday. They get back around 3-4am, and you probably don't get to sleep until maybe 5am for a few hours.

4 in a row is pretty ridiculous. The issue with the noon game had nothing to do with travel, that was all about the teams energy since they almost never play at noon.

Again, a night game or two is manageable, 4 in a row, manageable but not even close to ideal, especially with 2 back to back on the road.

True. At least Louisville is a short flight. Maybe they're home at 1 or 2.
But yeah the bigger issue may be having eight straight games - and almost all their tough ones - in a row to start the season like this.

Appears to me the schedule makes it pretty consistent so the routine stays the same which is a plus.
