If the Big10 officials get the grease the PAC12 just did on Saturday. This will be Michigans Super Bowl.

This one scares me even though there will be ACC officials-it will be a mad house -another super bowl for the opponent-but we are better

Historically as I recall the Big House isn’t all that loud or crazy. I’m sure it’ll be louder than a noon kick because it’s at night but not Miami 17 or the Swamp. That being said, I cannot imagine BK not expecting it and preparing as though we’re going to LSU

The Big House, much like our stadium design, doesn't exactly lend itself to containing noise levels. Because of the traditional bowl design the sound tends to escape above the venue. The Crossroads project has helped a bit with the noise, but it's not like modern stadium designs that create more echoes and retain sound.

Unfortunately I don't think so. But they're certainly capable. They still have 3, probably 4 NFL WRs and a great defense.

But I don't love their running game or Patterson

Will admit I haven't watched much Michigan yet this year. But who are these vaunted wide receivers? Tarik Black and Donovan Peoples-Jones? OK, but I'd take USC's any day. Regardless, Michigan hasn't topped 21 points against a decent team (and that's only if you count Army). Iowa held them to 10.

I'm sure we'll learn more about Michigan on Saturday night at Penn State, but right now it feels like we're the better team on both sides of the ball here.

I'd take USC's WRs too but it's close. DPJ is going to be a 1st or 2nd rounder, going far before Claypool for reference. On the Fox show ~2 weeks ago Urban said he thinks DPJ will be a top 15 pick.

Many would argue Tarik Black is actually better than DPJ. Which probably isn't true but that just goes to show you that Black is also a stud if the conversation is even happening.

Then there's Nico Collins who's a 6'4", 200 LB WR that's shown he can go up and get it, and has probably out performed both of them at times during his time at Michigan.

And #8, true freshman, is making some serious plays. He's a future NFL'er, no doubt in my mind. He shows some serious speed.

Edit - #8 and Nico Collins are actually the team leaders in most WR categories. And the other two are sure fire NFL players this year.

Facts are facts. Iowa with its massively powered defense held Michigan to 10 total points.

10 points gentlemen.

I would really love to think ND is better top to bottom defense wise than the fearsome Iowa Hawkeyes.

If not, ND doesnt deserve to be anywhere near the Playoff or NY6 bowl discussion PERIOD.

Then why don't they score more points?

Their QB lacks confidence, has some Book-level-pants crapping, and their offense is not clicking.

Whether it's the new OC or Harbaugh, I don't care, I'm just glad it's happening because the offense has loads of talent.

Honestly I wish Long would let Book air it out this game if we try to run, run, run and screen it will be a lousy game. If book is allowed to let lose we win by 3 touchdowns

Our expectations (hopes?) of Book and Long are the textbook definition of insanity.

Maybe, but the game is 2 weeks away so I’m sure he’ll be good to go by then.

I was responding to whether he plays against Penn State this weekend not Notre Dame in two weeks

I mean, the average ND fan has been living in a world of "two years away from a natty" for 30 years now....

It's really happening this time. No italics.

Idk that it's for sure happening, but this most definitely the best chance they've had since the early 90's. Recruiting is on fire.

As far as DPJ being a 1st rounder, that's nonsense. He and Tarik Black are gonna get drafted, but they'll be lucky to be taken Day 2. I follow these things very closely, and the only 3 WRs at this point in time that have a chance to go super early in the draft are Jeudy, Lamb, and Ruggs. If you can find me any mock or scout info that suggests otherwise I'd love to see it.

And "next year is our year" with regards to recruiting. Though, to be fair, it's looking like 2021 is our year for that lol

I don't think I've ever looked at a mock draft in my life. Assuming you're correct that none of them are listed in first or second round.

I'm just stating what Urban Meyer said leading up to Iowa game.

Edit - google search, this mock has DPJ going 21st. No idea how credible it is - are Mock's ever credible?

I still think SC has better talent at WR. I understand potential, rankings, etc but production matters. ASB isn’t eligible yet(to the mock draft or Urban quote) and I feel that the offensive talent as a whole compliments the WR group better than at Mich. Perhaps that’s why the SC offense doesn’t look like butt when they play decent teams like Mich. I’m of the belief that if we can’t slow down their offense and keep them at bay, we aren’t very good on defense. Look how awful Mich looked against Wisconsin as well to go with Iowa. I have watched Michigan 3 times and they have yet to impress me. The offense was trash against Army as well and their immense collection of defensive talent.

I will be happy if we’re underdogs at Michigan to increase the “chip on the shoulder” factor, but I just can’t see this Michigan team beating us anyway. Their good defense was absolutely shredded against Wisconsin and they looked fairly meh against Army too.

They held Iowa (who has struggled over the last few games on offense) down, but that doesn’t impress me. I think PSU is a bit overrated as well, so if Michigan looks ok this weekend that doesn’t tell me much. I like PSU on defense, but their offense has been pretty inconsistent if you take out just a few quarters this season (I’ve watched PSU a lot this year). I do think PSU will win, but unless there’s a blowout I won’t overreact to this game.

We moved the ball well last year against them with a pretty inaccurate QB (albeit with more athleticism) and then took our foot off the gas. Now you remove their 2 NFL pass rushers and other attrition, I’m confident ND scores enough to win.

Couple that with Patterson being in love with turnovers and their line not protecting him all that well, it may be a long day for the passing game. If we can stop or slow the run game without committing extra people (I think we will), I just can’t see the Michigan passing game beating this defense consistently enough to win.

Don't forget that ND under Kelly, loves to play down to competition in games where we should be dominating. Refer back to game 1 against Louisville who went 2-10 in 2018, happened to give us a run for our money for the first half of the game. I would be worried about that.

This is the big game for me. I don't like USC, but I don't hate them either. I enjoy beating them, they're rivals, but I don't get UP for them. I HATE Michigan. I don't care how we do it, I don't care if it's 3-2, I just want to beat Michigan. That's all.

Louisville is 4-2 and coming off a win at formerly #19 Wake Forest. The 2019 edition is no doormat.

THIS^

I would say I hate USC, but respect them... I want them to win and be good when we play them. I want them to beat just about everyone they play less ND.

I LOATH Mich, hate them, want them to lose every single game, no matter what. I want them to be the Rutgers of college football. Embarrassed every time they take the field.

USC has actually been a tough guy this decade.

Michigan has been a fake tough guy this entire decade. And no moreso than since 2014 when Harboner joined.

My hatred for Michigan surpassed my hatred for USC, OSU, MSU, and the entire SEC combined.

Agree on last year, but not this year. UoL gave them a game for a quarter then the Irish had UoL's offense figured out started pulling away. They pounced on NM and took care of UVA quite handily and rolled BGU.

Being from northern Indiana where people think its cool to be a Michigan fan because they once lived in a trailer there... I hate this game. No matter how much better ND is they have a knack for making the Tate Forciers of the world look like Heisman hopefuls. No matter the outcome does it really do anything for recruiting?

I love beating them though, internet seems to go down in trailer parks all over Michigan and Northern Indiana when ND wins.

Game always makes me nervous. Even in the 37-0 blowout I kept having flashbacks thinking UM might come back.

I have to fake like USC is a big rival. Michigan is the team I want to beat.

Unfortunately, we're at best #3 on their pecking order.

I live by my signature on Saturdays. I literally cheer for ANY team who is playing scUM. The Buckeyes, Sparty, Penn State, heck even if USC had them in the Rose Bowl (LOL Can you imagine scUM actually making a Rose Bowl?!) etc, I am a die-hard fan of that team for those three hours.

Living here is almost un(skunk)bearable because of this fan base alone.

If we lose this game, I will be crushed. Having a bye week to prepare against a seemingly VERY mediocre squad, in a building we haven't won in since 2006, living among the most insufferable, pompous, arrogant fans in all of sports, with no future game currently to have that glimmer of hope for redemption...I will be devastated.

SOS be dammed, I hope they get their asses handed to them on Saturday, and we do the same. Bury these sons of *itches.

Rest up and prepare boys. Let's get three in a row against these bastards.

I mean we can hate them and vice versa but we’re at best third on EACH OTHERS pecking order. We don’t even play them yearly,..

I hate them both A LOT but Michigan I suppose a little more because I can't stand their basketball team as well. USC hoops I could give two shits about.
