After watching Stanford's D-line i am worried for our O-line.

This must be the first Stanford game you have seen this year. Go watch USC and tell us how worried you are. Yikes.

I will say on the other hand though, we will be able to put a lot of pressure on Nunes. Judging off how he has looked this game, which is the most pressure he has seen so far (which isn't saying much), we should be able to hold our own defensively.

As mentioned above, our O-line better eat their Wheaties. And our D-backs better be ready to tackle these big WRs.

Yes it is. I don't get to watch them very often. I do agree that their o-line will have there hands full as well.

Washington's line looks pathetic. Either Stanford is very good or their line is high as a kite on the cannabis.

Stanford is good, but I think Washington is baaad tonight up front. They aren't even being contested coming through the A gap half the time.

Agreed. I like our chances getting Golson out of the pocket and throwing. I also like our chances with Tommy making quick reads and getting the ball out fast.

And Nunes seems totally spooked by the pressure. He's quite inaccurate without it, let alone with it.

Nunes is super inconsistent. When he's on, he's perfect with his touch. When he's off...ehhhhh.

Golson has had his share of accuracy issues to this point. Not trying to be the Debbie Downer, but it's fair for reference I think. But the key with Golson is to let him move... BK let him move out of the pocket frequently against MSU and Purdue, and it created good results. His accuracy struggles a bit from the pocket, but he hits more throws on the move... could be he's more comfortable on the move, or simply finding easier reads. Either way, it's crucial moving forward that BK and Martin give Golson plenty of opportunities to throw on the move. PA rollouts, designed "dash" plays, encourage him to free-style out of the pocket more often... it doesn't matter how they do it, but they need to let the boy move!

IMO, if Rees is in against Stanford, we're ****ed. We need Golson rolling out.

I don't think you're being a downer, but I didn't compare Golson's accuracy to Nunes. Also, I made it a point to say that getting Golson out of the pocket is the best thing we can do.

I really hope we can get our fast WRs on the outside going by then. That's the one place this Stanford D is vulnerable. Relative to the rest of the D, at least.

i hope everyone prepares themselves appropriately before this game.

meaning, the offense will stall. lots of middle screens, >3 yard runs, lots of incomplete passes.

their pressure is amazing. not saying it isnt a passable test, but we will need everyone locked in. this could be the "welcome to college football" game for neal.

stanfords D is for real.

Before anyone laments the effect a Stanford loss would have on our SoS, remember that they're a dangerous recruiting rival. We want them to lose every game as ignominiously as possible.

There can be only one... destination for smart footbaw players.

No one should ever complain about our strength of schedule regardless of opponents losing. It's tough from top to bottom. SOS will be okay with Stanford losing a game or two.

Good stuff. They look very vulnerable after that game. The Huskies are painfully average.

Holy geez....

Washington really isn't that good. If we can get the offense going, at least passably and deal with Miami, we have a great shot here.

I was hoping to knock off another Top 10 team, but I guess I can settle for a ranked one.

FRAUD!

That was the team from San Jose State. Ran all over a soft and terrible Duke team, terrorized an unprepared (LOLKIFFIN) and injured USC team, and then showed their true colors again tonight.

FANTASTIC front 7 with great motors, toughness, aggressiveness, etc. A lot of playmakers there.

But their O is very reminiscent of MSU. Crappy QB, extreme talent at TE/RB, no playmakers on the outside. Montgomery is capable of getting open but the QB struggles to get him the ball and when he did he dropped it.

This will be a tough game because of their D but extremely winnable with how bad that O is. Washington's D totally sucks.

Totally agree, but it would have been nice for them to keep fooling people for another couple of weeks so we could take out a top-10 team. Not shocked at all they lost tonight.

I agree with the front 7 comment. And will counter with I believe our OL is better than UW's and an injured USC's.

I don't disagree about the effect on SoS, but I think beating an undefeated team top-10 team would have been beneficial, as opposed to beating an exposed mediocre team.
