Not cold enough. Needs to be low 40's by late afternoon to really give those guys a shock to their systems. Friday is now showing a high of 58 and a low of 42. Current tempo is 27 in Barrow, Alaska in case you wondered?

Need snow on the ground.

Give me high 30s. Cold enough it will definitely affect Clemson somewhat but warm enough it won't affect ND at all.

I've been checking the weather, too. The game is over a week away, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is another case of weathermen being horrible at their jobs.

Guessing the hurricane will impact things all over the place. I never put too much stock in 10 days out stuff though. Once we get about 5 days out, confidence levels will rise.

Still holding out for icy cold hurri-rain.

We haven't had Indian summer yet!

I want this team to beat that team because we can, ND doesn’t need anymore excuses. Play hard, act like you belong, it’s time.

I also think our defense is good enough to keep it from being a high scoring affair, though I’m not completely sold on our back end play. Bracy being available will certainly help. Just gotta dial up pressure and keep TL from getting comfortable. Then don’t let up!

I would be happy with an asterisk win. Actually make it two because we would have to play them again in December.

Hope its a perfect day-no excuses-I've got a feeling the boys show up strong and play Clemson very very well.

The defensive line thread got me thinking about position groups for this game. I know I am a week early but thought it might be interesting to compare the position groups from the last ND/Clemson game to this season. I think we would have all loved to see how close the 2018 game's final score could have been if Love would have played the entire game.

Notre Dame
O-Line – 2020
QB – wash
RB – 2020 (This one was tough to decide - Dex was great, but what ND has going on this year is overall better)
TE – 2020
WR – 2018 (by far)

D-Line – wash (2018 better starters/2020 deeper)
LB – wash (Maybe slight edge to 2018?)
CB – wash (2018 better starters/2020 deeper)
Safety – 2020 (Kyle Hamilton)

Clemson
O-Line – 2018
QB – 2020
RB – 2020
TE – 2020 (But mostly a non-factor)
WR – 2018 (by far)

D-Line – 2018 (by far)
LB – 2018 (by far)
CB – 2018
Safety - 2018

Trevor Lawrence just tested positive for COVID. This is not a drill.

Holy crap. Get the win here on Nov 7 (hopefully) and even a close loss gets us in the playoff. This assumes we win the rest. Not be all end all, but a little more room for error perhaps

Do we know if he will be able to play next week tho or not? This is crazy if he doesn’t play

Lose-lose situation here. If ND beats Clemson without Lawrence no one will give them any credit and if they lose they will be laughed at even more.

Better off cancelling the game if Lawrence cant play. If ND can win its other games then they can play Clemson for the ACC championship and de facto CFP quarterfinal

We're going to the ship!!!!

So much for the "football factories would cheat" narrative.

A close loss to Clemson without Lawrence and ND will be mocked by the national media. Or having to watch Lawrence play and throw for 350 yards and rush for 100 yards 9 days removed from COVID-19 diagnosis would earn him the Heisman and be another gut punch

So we get to lose to Trevor Lawrence-less Clemson. Nice

If the tweet below is correct (10 day isolation), and assuming he tested positive today, he's not playing vs ND.

Tend to agree. This is the game that "doesn't matter" because we would still need to win ACC Championship to get in the playoffs. So, would've been good to get them at their best vs making excuses if we win... or people piling on if we lose.

On the other hand, ND will still be an underdog against an elite team and I want the win any way we can get it.

Bizarro world - Clemson loses to BC Saturday and then to us on November 7th, then we need to beat UNC twice to win the ACC, only to get exposed by Alabama in the CFP
