Mostly we need to not get behind early. Hold them on the first couple of possessions and turn it into a rock fight. We can win a rock fight. We can't win a shootout.

We were going to lose to Marshall with Buchner and Pyne or no Pyne, you don’t lose to Stanford. And we should’ve stolen the first game.

You can consider this season a disappointment while acknowledging a lot of positive progress has been made by players returning next year.

USC has better WRs and QB, but ND is stronger at pretty much every other spot.

I don't see how anyone can say 9-3 with Drew Pyne at QB all year and a 1st year head coach is a disappointment. Sure, the losses to Stanford and Marshall were embarrassing, but in a vacuum, 9-3, is solid. Those awful losses are much easier to iron out than the ability to get your team up for big games, which Freeman has proven he is capable of.

Disagree. They are flashier and more highlight reel friendly with skill position talent, but ND plays better special teams, better defense and is better along the line and better RBs.,

I haven’t been paying attention but beating Clemson at home is quite a feat. When’s the last time they lost at home?

Their defense is dogshit. If Golden can't slow them down, then yes, Pyne probably isn't going win a shoot-out against Williams. That's a big "if" though.

ND is a much more balanced team, and we're better at pretty much every position other than QB and WR.

We should be favored against this glorified 7v7 team.
