Their run defense could be slightly inflated but it’s not a product of their schedule. It’s just how they play. They’ll play 3 LBs all day tommorow. The safeties will creep close. They will blitz. That is always going to lead to stopping the run.

Pauling should have a big deal as a result. Raridon as well. Would like to see Faison moved around into the slot at times.

If ND finishes drives with TDs, it should turn into an ass kicking. Pitt’s QB will take risks if they’re chasing points, and secondary will pick him off.

Scuttlebutt on their 247 board that one of their starting DTs may be out as well, Sean FitzSimmons.

I don't put any sort of misinformation past the Nard Dog though.

An excercise that I do weekly is, "What position group would I take from the opposing team and replace with ours." So I ask the board, with the news of the K being out, which group would you take? DL Maybe?

We should win this game, and win it soundly. If we dont win soundly, barring refs doing some crazy ish, I will be disappointed and wouldnt cry at the end of the year if we are left out of the Playoffs because a playoff team wins this game in commanding fashion.

Wife is from Pittsburgh, my father-in-law teaches at the university and I dont think he even knows they have a football team. Irish win by 20+.

Apparently their DL kinda sucks. LBs and RB are their strength.

Answer would be none.

What's interesting is that Brice said a few weeks ago that Pitt had some nice Defensive Linemen (with the focus being on Defensive Tackles), but Jamie from ISD said earlier in the week that some of them are undersized and wouldn't start at ND.

I just realized that the one and only time I went to an ND game at Pitt was 1990. It was in the old Pitt Stadium. Tailgated in the cold near Pitt fans who claimed Rocket was overrated. Drank a lot of Iron City beer.

I hope the early start time (while I love it) doesn’t hurt the boys today. Outside of Arkansas we haven’t played well on the road this year so hopefully they’re ready for what is going to be a hard game. Should win but if we don’t day drinking tall boys will be on me with the money I don’t want to win.

While I think ND has the overall talent advantage, I don't think there's a school in the country that wouldn't trade their linebackers for Pitt's.

Maybe it's just me being a Pitt homer, but I'm yet to see a player more dangerous than a healthy Desmond Reid.

ND's advantages along the lines might be way too much for any of that to make a difference though. We shall see.
